Truly Effective Dog Brush. Improvement in Grooming Outcome Is Obvious. Worth It.
This beechwood pet brush was the answer to a small problem that I didnât think I would ever solve. For a long time, I just figured that I could never make my pup look the way she does when she returns from a grooming visit, though I try hard to learn to replicate the cut, the comb out. Our groomer has been able to make our dogâs hair stand out uniformly all over her body. By working with this slicker, I have been able to duplicate that volume look with our poodle. I had assumed it was professional dog grooming skill. Now I know that it is a skill dependent on the right tools.One of those tools is obviously a brush like this one. Though I have been using all sorts of inexpensive box-store slicker brushes for years on our dogs, I have never seen results like I get with this one. Really, it is astonishing that a medium sized brush can make so much difference. I believe that the narrow gauge of the pins, the number of them, and the angle at which they are bent make a considerable positive difference. This brush reaches deep into our dogâs fur and catches all the fine hairs without pulling or irritating the pup. Brushing her is a joy with this brush. The fact that it is wooden implement makes it all that much better; I enjoy the aesthetics of holding onto a shaped wooden handle instead of a plastic formed handle.I knowâ¦$34 seems like a lot to pay for a dog brush. I think so, too. But sometimes a really good tool makes a big difference. This is one of those tools for me.

My cat loves it!
Iâll start by admitting that this brush is way more expensive than I thought it should be. However, my very furry ragdoll cat absolutely LOVES it. She does like brushing generally, but she doesnât like every brush and has rejected similar metal brushes in the past. The first time she saw this one she wanted to lick and chew on the wood and didnât let me brush her. But once I was able to brush her she just flopped right over and purred and let me brush her forever.Iâm not sure what the magic is, but I definitely noticed that these bristles are stiffer than similar brushes Iâve used in the past. So itâs very strong. Anyways, since itâs shedding season Iâm getting like two to three brush gums of fur a day from her, and she shows no signs of tiring of this brush.
