The size receives mixed feedback, with some finding them smaller than expected, while the hardness and chewability are also mixed aspects – while some find them easy to chew, others say they’re too hard for puppies. Perfect for little dogs!
These are perfect for small dogs with tiny mouths. They are soft and donât have a bad smell. Great buy and we love the quality of all the ingredients from all of Hillâs pet products.

Good treat but takes time to chew
My dog likes these as treats for a small dog. He can smell them instantly out of the bag. We cut them up for training on walk treats because whole they take time to chew. Chewy and hard, not a quick gobble. The other treats we use are Mother Hubbard Bits which are small and crunchy for trick training and lower calorie treating.

These he will eat!
Our pup loves these treats, because they are easy to chew for his very small mouth. He loves the taste.

Soft dog treats
Came on time. But itâs not soft. The package says itâs soft. However it is not.

Great treats
Great, low calorie treats! Excellent for training puppies and adult dogs! They don’t have a bad odor and are reasonably soft.

Vet recommended for my diabetic dog
My vet gave these to my baby who is a diabetic. Perfect little treats that she can eat and I don’t have to worry about it spiking her blood sugar. She loves these!!

They were not soft and chewy.
I am very disappointed in the product I received! The package and description of it product says the training treats are soft and chewy. When I received the training treats they were so hard that I had to use a knife to cut it into smaller pieces for my puppies to even chew them. When they received them, they were so hard the puppies could not even chew them. I would like a refund!

Great Treats for Training!
I have a husky puppy that we were feeding him a different brand of treats, but since we changed his food to Hill’s Science Diet per our vet, we decided to change his treats up too. It was actually hard going, because Koba would just stare at the treat and paw at it, waiting to be fed his normal one, which was a Blue brand. After having to literally get him to eat it, he realized what it was, and soon was a happy puppy with these treats. I can tell he would still definitely prefer the other brand over this one, which was made with beef versus chicken, but he still likes these and will gobble them up. They are the perfect size too for training puppies as they aren’t too big or too little.

They are just as described but for some reason my puppy doesn’t love them. And she eats everything. But we’ll, it depends on the puppy. The only thing to know is that if you leave them out of the bag for a while (we have some in hand for training) the treats become hard solid.

Kinda expensive but worth it for my puppy.

These treats dry out pretty fast like any other treat, they are pretty soft and chewy and you can break them up with your hand. It’s a pretty small bag for 5 dollars though so I’d keep that in mind. Overall it’s a fine training treat as a come back from potty or basic training, my dog didn’t go crazy over it so I wouldn’t use it for recall.

My dog has a lot of dietary restrictions as she has has multiple surgeries to remove stones (her breed is predisposed to them). Her vet is fairly particular on what we feed her because of that. He recommended treats by Hills but did not have a huge selection of them at his clinic so I figured I’d check Amazon out to give her some variety. These treats are made with real chicken (her favorite) and are made in the USA with a smaller list of ingredients that you can actually read. She absolutely loves these little treats and begs for them throughout the day. I will continue to buy these for her and look for other Hills brand treats in the future.

My Border Collie does like this âtreatâ but it is hard. Not soft at all. My 14-week old Border Collie has no problem eating these but it does take a bit of time for him to chew through the treat. Because of this extra chew time, I do not use these as treats in a training session where the treats are being served out fast as it takes too long for my puppy to eat each treat. I use them during our fetch play time breaks, during long downs and distant recall rewards. These would be useless trying to train my dog to weave or do figure-8s between my legs as he would have to stop to eat each treat. As these treats are hard, and have little to no odour, I have no problem simply carrying a few in my pocket. This could be be perfect for joggers or walkers looking to carry something for the occasion dog that runs up to them.
