This worked for my hot, young mare.
This did it for my hot, young mare. Last year I had to stop showing her due to behavior issues. We just got back from a show. After using this product she was calm and manageable on the ground and so much better in the warmup. She still had all her energy for our classes but a lot less spookiness. She was so much happier! She trailered so much better as well. Will be getting more.

Always reliable
Quietex is a safe and reliable go to for those times when our horses may be extra stressed! Doesn’t make them dopey or sleepy at all, just more calm and focused. We’ve also used the pellets with good results as well.

I live in a loud, inconsiderate neighborhood, and I give this to my horse before farrier visits to help make sure that if a four wheeler or dirt bike goes by at 90 mph or someone next door starts target practicing, my horse won’t be as likely to spook. It does seem to help. Now if only I could move somewhere with nicer people! Five stars.

Different ingredients than regular Quietex
We have been using the regular Quietex pellets for a while now to calm my excitable horse, and when I saw another quietex product I wanted to give it a try. This also comes in a pellet version which is a lot cheaper per serving.This show version has different ingredients than the regular quietex. The main ingredients are crude protein, crude fat, DHA, EPA, crude fiber, ADF, NDF, calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, zinc, selenium, pyridoxine and folic acid. ( No tryptophan or Valerian)The paste appears to be designed to work a little faster than the show pellets or can be used in addition to the show pellets. So this paste is probably better when you need it to work fast.My horse did not mind the taste of the paste and I think it seemed to help him. But due to the cost I will probably stick to the pellets in either the regular quietex or the show quietex.

Seems to Work
We gave half a tube to our skittish thoroughbred broodmare when the thoughtful folks next door fired up their chainsaws and started clearing our shared fence line. I’m not going to say she was as calm as our quarter horses, but it did seem to take the edge off after about 30 minutes and she wasn’t running around like a nut.We plan on using the rest of the tube on July 4th to make the fireworks display in a nearby park a little less scary for her. A calmer horse leads to less chance of injury and less chance of colic. Don’t expect a tranquilizing effect, but it helps her relax. Kind of like giving my wife a glass of wine.A helpful product.

Provided Calming During Storms
We used this for some of our horses before the hurricanes and they did well when they would have otherwise have been more upset. We watched them with cameras and they seemed to handle the storm better than the past.
