Not powerful enough to actually lift water except through a very narrow tube. I found a use for it to keep water moving in a small water feature, but I could have done that with a far less expensive pump. Donât buy this one.

Very small package for those small projects
Surprisingly small aquarium pump.With no specifications it was hard to determine the performance of this pump.It does not come with any tubing on outlet adapters.I managed to connect 3â of tubing to the outlet and it did manage to output at a 3â lift.It measures about 3âx2âx2â.Output, I would have to guess and say 40gal an hour.At the rate that this pump outputs, I could only recommend it for a very small pond or aquarium; 50gals or less.

Decent little sub pump
The pump works well, I’ve been using this to help pump water out of a drain pan when necessary although it’s not automatic (water level) it works fine when plugged in. I’m not moving a huge amount of water, maybe a couple of quarts at a time and this thing will clear it out within seconds. It’s able to push water at least a foot high so no issues there, it does include a really thick gauge power cable that makes it a little challenging to relocate but other than that, it works fine. It would be a little easier to use with a thinner gauge power cable but fine other wise!
