Works just as intended and perfect for rats!!
Edit: 10/22/2025:My Rat LOVES this!! Every morning I go in his room to greet him, he’s on this. I have a piece of fleece that I bunch up and stuff in on one side for him because it turns out, he really loves to sit and eat his treats on it lol. So, I put a piece of fabric on one side so it’s easier for him to sit on. But he truly enjoy this thing and I’m so glad! I used the original tie-wraps (zip ties if you will) and they have held up great, no issues whatsoever. He also isn’t chewing on them like I originally thought he would. I may buy another one for the other side of my cage (its a 4-tier rat mansion lol)This is a pretty fun cage enhancement, the tie wraps that came with it are kind of flimsy but they work. It was fairly easy to assemble and attach. Didnt have a strong smell at all. My rat hasn’t quite used it yet but he did sniff around it and I put a treat on it to try and get him to climb on it and he did. I like the way this looks, and I think it’s a pretty great idea. Seems easy enough to wipe down or spray down and clean if you need to. Probably just leave it out in the sun to dry.

I like this for building environments for pet rats because it fills in a lot of empty space while still allowing them to climb through, and on, it. It can also fold up to fit into different sized spaces. This is a great item to have in your âcage boxâ

My Rats Love It
The product is well-made and already assembled, which is nice. All you have to do is mount them to the cage with the included zip ties. I was worried that they’d get chewed to bits, but once my rats realized they were for climbing, I haven’t seen them nibble on them at all. They use them all the time now! My goal was to get them to stop climbing the sides of the cage because I worry about the comfort of their feet. This solved the problem. I only rate four stars because it did take me and my partner to mount them. I held them in place where I wanted them, and then my boyfriend zip tied them.

This is the favorite climbing bridge for my two very large albino ratties. They love it! Wood is great because at least for my two, they do not gnaw on it. “Pesto” and “Pasta” love to hang out on it especially at night. Highly recommend.

Bought the large and it’s perfect size for my rat boys. I think if I would have gone smaller it would be hard for them to play through. Comes with plenty of zip ties but I chose to prop it on the second level and it’s really sturdy

I’ve secured this to the back of the cage using shower curtain clips, and my ratties love climbing it – though I did give it a couple of coats of plastikote just to make sure I could wipe off any pee! It feels light yet sturdy enough, though time will tell how it holds up to chewing etc.

I like the idea of this and bought it as a gift. I am a little worried that they may pinch themselves on this if it shifts at all. It seems to want to stay in a collapsed position. It is wood and therefore is not easily washed. I fully expect the rats to pee on it, so I am not sure how long it will last. I may update this post after it is used by the gift receiver and see how it worked out.
