Causes Algae
I added this product to my main tank and it caused a lot of algae growth like I’ve never seen before. Unless you have no other choice, I would only recommend using it in a separate quarantine tank if you’re concerned about algae.As to the effectiveness of the product otherwise, I’m not sure. I did quarantine initially, and added the product. I thought I followed the instructions, but still ended up with ich in my main tank. After adding to my main tank, the ich did eventually go away. So I’m not exactly sure why it didn’t seem to work in my quarantine tank. I concede that it could have been user error on my part, and am writing this review mostly to inform other users about the algae problem I encountered.

Healthy for Discus
This product is great for my discus. I use it when Iâm changing water so it functions well in keeping fish healthy. Great price for product and color is blue which does not harm the fish and it was sealed properly. I love using seachem products.
