Perfect for Bunnies with Sinus Issues
My bunnies have always had sinus issues and sneeze a lot, so dust in hay is a big deal for us. Oxbowâs Orchard Grass Hay works really well because itâs softer and has fewer thick stems and seed heads than timothy hay. That means it doesnât kick up as much dust, which helps keep their noses from getting irritated.Timothy hay is a bit rougher with more stems and seed heads, and that can make more dust when they eat it. For bunnies with sensitive sinuses, orchard grass is just easier on them.They like the taste tooâitâs sweeter and not as strong-smelling. I still give them timothy hay sometimes for variety and because itâs good for their teeth, but orchard grass is the one I reach for when theyâve been sneezing or having sniffles.Both hays are fresh and good quality, and Iâve trusted Oxbow for years. The 15 oz bag lasts a while, which makes it a good deal.If your bunny has sinus troubles, Iâd definitely recommend trying orchard grass hay.

This is a good product. My chinchilla used to like it. Now he has become picky and will not eat grass anymore. However, the product itself is good and worth buying.

My tortoises love this stuff. I use it in their outdoor houses, they sleep in it, eat it, etc. It’s a good amount for a small amount of animals, good quality and does the job

My bun loves this hay. He also isnât very picky with hay lol Itâs not the freshest, but itâs overall still a good color and not dried out. Taste? My rabbit has no complaints and we use this instead of Timothy hay. It is hard to pull apart which I wish could somehow be rectified so hay doesnât get everywhere. Unfortunately my last bag arrived with a hole and hay got on eveything. Due to allergies it ruined the rest of the items in the box since hay was stuck to everything. Packaging and perhaps a resealable top and slightly thicker plastic would help.

Purchased for my mice, a few of them love it!
I have 6 mice, three of which are fancy mice, two are “house mice” and one is a deer mouse. My fancy mice seem to really enjoy it, two of them actively eat this and they get really excited when I give them fresh hay. My boy Pudding does what I call “the hay twitches”, as well as popcorning around and it’s so cute! I didn’t expect my youngest two to enjoy it as much as they do but they eat it every time I give it to them. My other mice for the most part seem to ignore the hay or line their nests with it, or use it to make their tunnels sturdier. I’m happy as long as they use it in some way, whether they eat it or not. I love how this smells, it’s so sweet and fresh that it makes ME want to eat it. I bought one of the packs of “extra large ziploc’ bag packs, kind of like the ones for towels and laundry, and just shoved the whole bag of hay in there to keep it fresh. The zipper for this thing does suck to be honest, and if there’s more than 3/4 left in the bag, picking it up by the built in handle hole will make the zipper open up 9/10 times. The amount I have will last me a long time with how small my mice are, but I will happily buy it again when I someday burn through it!

Perfect for hamsters and other small pets
Not much to be said, but I use it in my hamster’s bedding with aspen and paper bedding. He he seems to like having a less boring bedding. I ordered the small bag but they sent me the largest one, its a win lol.

Ho provato diversi tipi di fieno negli ultimi anni, ma questo è diventato subito il preferito dei miei conigli. Si presenta verde, profumato e ben tagliato, senza polvere e senza residui strani, segno di un prodotto di qualità .Appena lo metto nella fieniera, i miei conigli si fiondano: lo mangiano con gusto e ci si rotolano anche dentro, segno che lo trovano comodo e invitante. Anche dal punto di vista nutrizionale, è perfetto per tenere sotto controllo la loro digestione e lâusura naturale dei denti.Lâho trovato molto più fresco e consistente rispetto ad altri fieni confezionati, e non ha quel classico odore di âsecco e vecchioâ che spesso scoraggia i conigli.

I thought that this was maybe a bit expensive (six quid for 425g of dried grass), but on opening the bag noses immediately started twitching. My rabbits will do anything for this tasty morsal. The hay is of excellent quality. On a wet weekend just sniffing this hay will make you smile – or maybe sneeze 🙂

I’ve been using Oxbow products for nearly 20 years. I have 5 house rabbits and a guinea pig and it’s very important to me that they eat top quality food and hay and products that do them good. Hay is a vital part of rabbits and guinea pigs diets. Rabbits are supposed to eat their size in hay per day and a hay based diet supplemented with fresh vegetables and a good pellet food is a natural and healthy diet. Rabbits teeth are constantly growing and hay is a good way for rabbits to gently wear their teeth down. Most cheap shop bought hays are very poor quality and suitable only for bedding. Oxbow offers a variety of hays, each different. The Orchard Grass hay is generally a softer hay than the others. Depending on which cut it is, this hay can be very soft to a slightly harder hay. Bunnies with dental issues often struggle to eat hay, but this softer hay means that most of my dental buns have enjoyed it. It smells delicious and for me that is a sign of a good quality hay. I wouldn’t feed my animals hay that had no smell – it’s a bit like strawberries. Strawberries that smell yummy taste much nicer than those with no fragrance. In all the years I’ve had bunnies and guinea pigs, Orchard Grass has always been a favourite.
