Much less stress than trying to go to the groomers.
Updated 12/17/22: Ok so I donât know what I did with my original clippers so I bought a second set and I still love them! The design has been updated instead of the white ceramic itâs now black. The noise level is still very quiet and the vibration is lower than expected and itâs a positive for me! I use these for my oldest kitty who turns 10 next year(Ragdoll and Calico mix) because she is both deaf and blind and doesnât understand grooming and clippers and is extremely sensitive to touch. She canât groom herself anymore and sometimes has accidents with her back end so itâs easier on her and me if I shave back there. I had to use a pair of out old clippers(for humans) and she didnât tolerate it well. With these sheâs calm, holds perfectly still and doesnât try to run away and hide or try to claw or bite. Itâs harder on her to use a clean damp cloth to wipe her clean so getting these again was a blessing! Theyâre quick, precise, quiet, low vibration, and I recommend them to anyone who has to shave/trim their fur babies.Original review: I got this because I had at the time 2 dogs and 2 cats(now 3 cats and no dogs). The dog and cat I got this specifically for was a Pomeranian and a Ragdoll/Calico mix because of long hair. For the Pomeranian it was for maintenance on her bathroom area because if it wasnât shaved off in the back she would get matted bathroom business in her fur and for the Ragdoll/Calico mix she has dry skin, skin allergies and seasonal allergies that flare up along with allergies to fleas and hotspots.(for dry skin I use coconut oil or olive oil and let sit for 1-7 days and bathe. Ask your vet what they recommend.) Both animals did not do well with new people, the vet, or the groomers. This groomers kit is extremely convenient and affordable for what it does and itâs very quiet, works wonderfully, easy to maintain, and it made grooming so much more easy, convenient and enjoyable for them and me. I have 3 cats now and due to fleas I had to shave my Ragdoll/Calico mix, and my domestic shorthair.(youngest never needed shaved thank goodness) It made it safer and easier to groom them at home because they get carsick, the domestic shorthair is extremely wary and does not handle strangers well and it was less stress on them to do this at home. I recommend trimming nails beforehand because with cats(and dogs) their nails can shred you pretty badly. Talk in soft and gentle tones, give lots of praise, and lots of cuddles and treats after itâs all said and done. As it is, my cats get baths regularly every 1-2 months, nails trimmed every week, and as spring hits my eldest gets shaved down completely about twice a year sometimes 3, and about every 2-3 weeks to shave her bathroom area because she can no longer groom herself. I highly recommend this to anyone who has issues with their pets and the groomers so long as you are comfortable with doing this, have some knowledge or experience with this because you do have to be extremely careful with grooming. If you arenât careful you can end up cutting them so make sure you stay calm and keep them calm and keep a steady hand. The clipper guards to help with length of the coat help but always be careful with trying to groom at home.

Impressive! Used on horse
This shaver is WELL worth the $25 dollars! Iâve been using it to clean up my pleasure horse for quarter horse shows and I canât believe how good itâs been! Itâs fairly quiet, lightweight, and cordless! This is year two with it! It gives the $200+ clippers a run for their money and I donât have to be scared of dropping it! Love love love!! Will purchase again

Good Clippers but No Good Way to Clean Them!
I bought these clippers with the intention of using them to shave faux fur for various costume projects. Overall, they work great and cut the fur with ease! I love that it is rechargeable and wireless, and the battery lasts quite a while between charges. However, my only gripe is that there is no easy way to remove the blade for cleaning. Other clippers Iâve used have a metal head with screws so it can be removed and the inside can be cleaned to make them last longer. The head/blades seem to be held in place by the plastic with no way or removing it. I worry that long term, the clippers will deteriorate quicker than others since they cannot be fully cleaned.I would still highly recommend these clippers, especially for crafting!

First-Time Cat Groomer Succeeds With Sminiker!
Fewer and fewer commercial groomers will “do” cats. It’s costly anyway. Mine recently quit handling cats, giving me a phone number for one that allegedly still does. I can’t confirm or deny that — what I do know is that the one to whom she referred me doesn’t return phone calls.My domestic longhair is pretty mellow. So, seeing an inexpensive clipper, I thought I’d give it a try. It’s not like I wanted my cat to look like she’s all slicked up for a cat show; it’s just that in hot weather, when her coat grows out too long, she gets lethargic and generally acts bummed out. Tilda’s a medium-size cat, all white, whose coat had grown out to the point where she looked like a miniature polar bear, and acted like somebody who’s just too doggone hot.I installed the 3 mm guard and got busy. These clippers are indeed quiet, and the sound they do make is low-pitched. I won’t lie — my cat is slightly uneasy when I’m clipping her. She gets up every 10 or 15 seconds and moves a few feet, then settles down again. But I don’t try to restrain her or hold her down. I let her move and then follow her and get some more, praising her lavishly the whole time. This goes on for maybe five minutes, then she’s had enough and actually leaves the room. Fine with me — I got five minutes’ worth of fur off her, and tomorrow’s another day. When a week or so had gone by, I was satisfied … she acted like she felt cooler and better. Certainly doesn’t look like a professional groomer’s job (see “before” and “after” images, but know that the “before” was a few months ago — she’d gotten way shaggier), but neither of us cares.Obviously, cats are independent beasts who are equipped with sharp claws and who generally do not tolerate foolishness gladly. Mine is sweet-tempered and forgiving. You know your own cat, so your estimation of the chances of happy home grooming should be the deciding factor. But if you want to go for it, let’s talk about the equipment I’m reviewing here.The clipper is USB-chargeable, and it comes with instructions, charging adapter/cable, an assortment of guards from the 3 mm I use up to, I believe, 12 mm. There’s also a cleaning brush, a small vial of lubricating oil, and a pair of barber-type scissors (which I haven’t used). Everything stores neatly in a black zippered storage case.I’m very happy with this clipper, so far. It’s an excellent value — way less expensive than a single visit to the former groomer. Recommended.

We are very pleased with this trimmer.It charges really fast. Itâs very quiet which didnât bother him whatsoever. He just didnât like being held still.But the back where heâs shaved, thatâs where he gets his mats. It was very simple to use. It glided right through his hair and now he feels really silky. We tried the spacers, but for his hair they donât work because his hair is too long. The scissors are really good quality. I love the metal comb that comes with it. It works excellent on little mats balls right behind his ears. Before this, I would use my husbandâs hair trimmer. It did the job, but it was noisy, heavy and harder to manage than this. This is great!His fur needs a little bit more adjusting, but thatâs good enough for today and he seems quite happy now.The quality & the price is absolutely fabulous Thank you ever so much.

It comes as advertised. Quiet, minimal vibration and very easy to use. I found the scissors worked great too! I had no clue what I was doing as I have never groomed a dog, but my little Star looks great! I would totally recommend this product. I can see why others use it for their cats! Itâs worth it!
