Sturdy but the steps are small for my big cat
I have a 13 lb long lanky cat. He’s bigger than the average cat but not as big as a pure bred maincoone. The steps of the tree are just too small for him to be comfortable on without falling off. He’s able to climb up and down and he likes to scratch the post but he can’t sleep on it or anything. The carpet that it comes with is a good idea but the adhesive that comes with it doesn’t really do the job. I haven’t quite found a good alternative but I’m sure it’s out there. Overall, it’s very sturdy and is great for my cat to go up and down but it’s not necessarily for comfort.

Solid cat tower for the price
Surprisingly solid for a lower-priced Amazon cat tower. It was much taller than I was imagining and I love that the platforms are solid wood. Pay attention to the size and features of the platforms when building it. The instructions don’t make it obvious and I ended up accidentally installing it with one of the platforms flipped. Didn’t seem to affect the functionality, so I guess that means it’s customizable?I have two cats of average size that like to leap off the top of it. The tower doesn’t wobble at all, though the platforms have swiveled a bit. I suppose that might have been fixed by tightening the posts more when assembling, but it was hard to tell when it’s tight or over-tight.The mats came with adhesive velcro so that once you attach it, the mats are removable for washing. Pretty cool! They are already looking a little bit frayed after a month of rough use, but that doesn’t bother me. The rope on the posts hasn’t frayed at all and they don’t shed, which does matter to me a lot. We put our tower next to a window and a taller shelf to maximize the kitties’ fun.All in all, I’m happy with it and my cats are thrilled.

Perfect for a tight corner
Kitty jungle gym is complete with this! I had a tight corner that needed a solid way for my 2 kitties to get up and down from their upper window perches, and this fit perfectly. And it looks really nice as far as cat furniture goes! Its super solid and sturdy. My 2 cats love it, and they aren’t the best at climbing (they’re a bit clumsy/nervous) but they handle this just fine. The top perch has become such a favorite lookout spot I call it their “Pride Rock” lol.

Can be very dangerous
At first all was well, itâs sturdy and my cat loves it. But tonight I heard her making a weird sound and found her with her head stuck between the top platform and the wall. The wall mount broke clean in half so the top part was wobbly and she was able to put her head in there but then couldnât get back out because of how she was standing on it. Iâm so glad I was home. I ended up using strong fiber tape to hold it together because the rest seems pretty secure to the wall. Just be careful and watch for the wood anchors and any cracks. Also the stupid carpet pieces donât stay stuck. I had to buy my own and Velcro it to the steps, they only give you one big piece for the top and one small piece that doesnât really fit and step right and wonât stay anyway.

Exactly what I wanted
I almost never leave Amazon reviews but I must for this product. Iâve bought a lot of cat trees in the past and I was a bit concerned ordering this one due to some of the reviews. Iâm glad I did. Instructions are very clear. Simply separate the pieces first (this is important so you donât mix anything up). Then, follow maybe 3-4 steps. I put this together very quickly. I had my husband help me with the drywall mounts. It is important to have those mounts carefully put in (just like the instructions state) to ensure stability. Anyone leaving reviews complaining about stability likely didnât mount it just like the instructions state to do. I have three chunky cats (13-16 pounds). The platforms are plenty big enough for them. The ideal use for this cat tree is for it to lead to something like a mounted hammock (see image). I also wanted something ascetically pleasing for my living room (that didnât take up a lot of space) and this was it. Also FAR cheaper than some of the cat trees Iâve previously bought. Get this and and a hammock and you will have some very happy cats. ð±

DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN
TLDR: I do recommend the product! Its very large and very sturdy once secured to the wall! JUST DO NOT OVER SCREW THE POSTS.There were no warnings in the instructions, and I wanted to make sure the very tall cat tree was sturdy and secure enough to hold my very large cat (20lbs), so I screwed in each tube as much as I thought would be good. Although, there is no stop to the screws, and you can keep going until the nut, secured with a plastic fitting, rips through and it will no longer screw in. I was sitting there spinning and spinning that post, wondering why it wasn’t getting any more snug/sturdy; it was still wobbling! Thats when I realized that the screw had pulled the nut out and ripped it through the plastic…My partner and I were able to replace this part by 3D printing a replacement out of ABS filament, and securing it with E6000. It ended up being much sturdier and works perfect, now.If you have a 3D printer, I recommend replacing the fittings with ABS. If not, the tree SHOULD still work fine! As long as you only screw it enough so its no longer wobbly.

The item didn’t come with instructions, but it was easy enough to figure out on my own. I found the quality to be very good. Id like to point out that in the 1 star review, the product appeared to be wet, you can see the warping in the tubes. Wind would not be able to knock over this cat tree because it’s designed to be bolted to a wall. That being said, this tree HAS to be bolted to a wall, it’s simply not designed to stand on its own. I’ve only had it a day, but it’s far better than my last tree that lasted a few years so In very optimistic that this will hold the test of time
