Works on horses, dogs, stripping terriers
This little block is great for horses, but also for dogs! Works on short-haired dogs, but I love it for terrier-type hair coats as it strips the outer coat without the tedious hand-stripping. I have used it on Border Terriers, Labradoodles, Mastiffs, Bostons, and all my horses. It might work well for cats, too – I haven’t tried it. Re-edge it periodically to keep it suer effective. A must for every tack room and dog owner

Falls apart quickly, does not stay “sharp”
Falls apart rather quickly compared to others. Needs resharpening almost continuously. Don’t see this lasting long.

Exactly what I was looking for
I bought this to try stripping my Irish Wolfhound’s coat for the first time. It worked exactly like the video I watched. I’m very pleased. The block was big enough to break into three pieces for easier use.

Wasted my money.
I purchased this block to remove bot fly eggs on my horse’s legs. I could’ve purchased one from a local tack store for half but figured I’d save myself the trip since I was purchasing other items. The block arrived in hundreds of pieces. I was able to find a chunk large enough to remove the eggs but then it went in the garbage. I ended up buying the replacement from a local farm supply store. Don’t waste your money like I did.

Arrived a bit beaten up but on time. A corner was broken off and the wrapping was ripped, could’ve happened in shipping though. Thinner than I had hoped, it isn’t exactly what is pictured. Seems to work well for shedding short haired animals
