Customers say
Customers find these reptile bulbs to be of good quality, with one mentioning they work well for geckos and another noting they’re perfect for tree frogs. They appreciate the heat level, with one customer noting they’re not too hot, and consider them a great value. However, the bulbs receive mixed feedback regarding functionality, with some saying they work well while others report they don’t work at all. Additionally, durability and burnout rate are concerns, with multiple customers reporting broken filaments and bulbs that only last 2 days.

I got these fory Geckos, they move around a lot more now and our cats like to sit either in front or on top of the cage. The geckos I swear do a nanny nanny boo-boo with them. ð¤£ð¤£

Dangerous malfunctioning bulbs
Poor lights- donât recommend. Was excited as they were a 2 pack and figured would last us a long time. The first light burn out in 3 days. Figured it might have just been a bad bulb, was glad we had another. It was only in about 4 hours and we smelt something burning. It was smoking. Immediately we unplugged light and rescued the pet from the tank. I let the light cool a bit before we lifted it up to look at it. The bulb fell onto the floor and shattered in many pieces. The bottom of the bulb still attached inside the light. Definitely faulty bulbs. Easily could have injured our pet or caused a fire if we wouldnât have been home.Bought new bulbs- no issue at all with the light. New bulbs are working well.

Zoo Med 2 Pack Daylight Blue Reptile Bulb – 40 Watts
Excellent price and quick delivery. Most importantly, we tested both and they both work fine. This was an emergency replacement for one we bought at a box store (large chain) that cost almost as much for just one bulb and didn’t work. They had no more in stock. It’s good to have a backup bulb and we will definitely buy again.

Great buy!
I went looking for these in my local pet stores but could only find the 60W bulbs. I need the 40W bulbs. I was so glad that I was able to find these. The price for two was better here than the price for one 60W bulb at the store.

Great product, doesnât ship well
I have purchased these bulbs for years for our turtle habitat. Our 7 year d turtle loves basking under them. I switched to ordering them, rather than running to the pet store for convenience. Each time, the bulbs have arrived not working or stopped working almost immediate after installed. Switched back to store bought and they are working great again. Itâs a great product. The filament just seems too fragile to handle the transportation.
