Excellent for Keeping the Heat in Cage (Hedgehogs)
I purchased these before getting my female african pygmy hedgehog, Fable, after reading that the cage must be kept above 72 degrees F to prevent an attempt at hibernation (which is fatal as they cannot truly hibernate properly) and to prevent climbing in case I got a hedgehog that liked to climb. I had a heat lamp in the cage to try to keep it warm (was testing it before getting Fable) and found that it was largely varying in temperature based upon the thermometers. I did not want to use Kloroplast since it was more expensive and would require more work in setting up than these pee cage guards. Not to mention I figured the plastic would do a better job of retaining heat like a storage container (which pet hedgehogs are often kept to keep warm as they are like a reptile in that way). I worried about how transparent they were but decided to give it a try, figuring I could take off the liner later if wanted. The cage was able to better maintain the heat range required for a hedgehog. So after a week of ensuring the temperature maintained the safe level and the heat lamp was functioning properly, I felt it was safe enough to bring home a hedgehog (it has been cold here, below 30s). I bought a space heater as back up anyways since I have asthma and find the cold to be extremely irritating and causing more flares. Fable is in my bedroom, where I spend most of my time since my desk in there for work so it works for both of us.Fable has been in this cage with the cage pee guards for a month now and does not seem bothered by the transparent sides as she does her hedgehog business at night (they are nocturnal) and will run in her silent wheel (bought off Etsy) all night and chow down on her food. I have included hides in her cage: 4 inch PVC pipe, fleece blankets (tried cuddle sacks and she insists on sleeping underneath it), fleece forest, dig box, and working on getting her a hide hut that she will actually use. I think that has compensated for the clear pee cage liners as hedgehogs do like spots to hide due to being prey animals.Fable’s cage has higher sides (Midwest Wabbitat XL) that is at least 5 inches high. It was because of the higher sides that I liked these better as I needed something shorter so air was not blocked to allow proper ventilation. The length also suits the cage, hardly had to cut any of them. There was enough guards to line the entire bottom of the cage. I ended up having to buy another one as I needed to block one side off entirely (due to an ac/heat vent blowing air directly into the cage to make too hot and will make too cold in summer) but it is nice having spares, especially for when I eventually get the add on unit for the cage (waiting until I can get her cage in a better spot).For those curious about the liner underneath the wheel: those are disposable baby changing liners as puppy pads have chemicals to draw dogs to them. Since hedgehogs have very sensitive noses, went with those baby pad liners instead. I closely monitor her and she does not chew or bother them. Fable likes to explore over playing with toys or chewing.

Great product!
I use this on my guinea pig cage and have noticed a huge difference in the amount of hay and poop that randomly falls onto the floor. The pieces are easy to cut to the size you need and easy to install with the zip ties. I was worried my guinea pigs would nibble at them but they definitely have not!

My first experience with these panels so still getting the hang of it. Purchased these for my daughterâs ferret cage. Placing them in the corners of the cage to hopefully prevent constant overflow of excrement onto my floors. Donât yet have an opinion as to the performance since I am still installing them, however I do feel the flexibility of the panels could be improved. The panels are very stiff which makes it difficult to install into corners. The zip ties are a strange concept given the panels are to be used in animals cages which will require cleaning. If you need to clean around/behind the panels you will have to cut away the ties and replace them after cleaning.. Im not sure how that is going to work out but will come back later with an update.

I bought these to line the lower half of our awesome Madagascar cage for our rat. I got them because we have cats and because rat urine smells awful. (The rat does not spray urine.)I bought metal zip ties since rats like to chew on plastic.

Works great and is easy to cut to size if needed. My only complaint is that it’s staticy so dust is attracted to it and it needs to be wiped down more often than I’d expected but given the material that just is what it is. Since it keeps bedding in and curious cat paws out, I’ll forgive the static.

Avendo un pappagallo in casa , praticamente tutti i giorni mi ritrovo semi per terra e altre cose perchè è molto dispettoso quindi dalla mangiatoia quando non lo faccio uscire mi butta tutto il cibo per terra.Per fortuna con questa soluzione ho limitato i suoi dispetti perchè recintando la parte bassa e lasciando aperta la parte superiore.I pannellini in PVC transparenti sono facili da fissare grazie ai fori con le fascette e possono essere facilmente tagliati in base all’esigenza.Credo non ci siano altre grandi cose da aggiungere se non che con una confezione si riesce a comprire una gabbia di discrete dimensioni visti i pannellini da 30×15.Andrea

Solide, resistant. Je l’utilise pour faire tout le contour de la cage pour mon chien qui es anxieux en cas d’abscence. Le problème c’est qu’il s’écorchait les pattes en dormant à cause des accroches qui dépassaient légèrement du bas de la cage. Maintenant tout es safe et monsieur pourra dormir et se prélasser sans soucis !

I use these around my bunny’s enclosure to keep the hay, poop and pee in, and to protect my furniture and flooring. This set includes 12 clear pieces of plastic and enough ties to keep everything in place. Each piece has a protection layer on both sides, so the most time-consuming step to installing these is removing all these layers. They are completely clear, and the ties are white, so they don’t stand out and you only see them if you’re looking for them. My bunny did manage to scratch and bite them over time, but they are easy to replace once they get too damaged. I’m very glad I got these!
