Customers say
Customers find the dog harness to be of good quality, comfortable, and easy to put on and off. The harness fits well and is well-built, with one customer noting it’s not cheaply made. They appreciate its functionality, particularly for smaller dogs like rescues, and its effectiveness with ziplines. The sturdiness receives mixed feedback – while it keeps dogs secure in the back seat, some report it moves around too much. Durability is also mixed, with some customers reporting it broke after 6-7 weeks of use.

Perfect dog harness. First one that has ever successfully worked for my lab.
This is a wonderful harness. I have a three year old lab and she has chewed or managed to get out of countless harnesses in the past. My lab is scared of everything so having something that she can’t get out of is a must. It needs to be secure. I’m not exaggerating when I say that this is at least the 8th harness she has had. If you name a really good brand of harness I’ve probably tried it on her and she’s either chewed it to pieces or slipped out of it. This is not my first dog so I’m well aware of how they should fit properly. I’ve never had a problem in the past with any other dog so the problems are not user related. This harness went on easier than most and was simple to adjust. My dog didn’t even try to bite it which is a first and it fit really nice. I decided to try a ride out in the car and hooked her up to the seatbelt with the included clip. The last time I tried this she had chewed herself free before we got to the first stop sign. Not only did she not chew anything she sat nicely all the way to the library which is about a ten minute trip. I can’t reiterate enough how she has never made it this far before unless she was in a kennel in the back of the car. I was a little bit worried about leaving her in the car alone for a few minutes which normally makes her very anxious. To make it worse the librarian was busy and I was gone longer than I had hoped (about ten minutes). I came back out to the car expecting the worse but she has sitting peacefully and hadn’t touched the harness and was still in it. This is the first one she hasn’t had an issue wearing. I still haven’t taken her out for a walk yet with it on because I’m so worried about her escaping and I’m still waiting for her new tags to come. I think she would do fine but I’m just paranoid. I think I’ll try it next at a pet store in case she would get free. This really is a nicely made harness and my husband even commented on how nice it seemed and how easy it was to get it on her. I mentioned this one to my sister and she also purchased one and seems to really like hers.

worthy harness, tru-fittedness could improve
I now own two of these: one for a ~50 lb dog, one for a ~110 lb dog. both are effective, go on easily, and are well made. tugging and other forms of undesirable behavior have certainly gone down since using them. For the larger dog, this is a replacement for a more padded harness which was probably better made yet, but did not go on or (particularly) off easily.Nonetheless, there are some changes the manufacturer could make to improve the harness:1. offer it in a color other than black. when I’m looking for the right harness in the morning, it’s hard to distinguish black from black, or to read L vs. XL with my bleary eyes. end of the world? hardly. but it would be a nice enhancement.2. while the harness adjusts in more dimensions than most other harnesses I’ve tried, it’s still not completely responsive to different dog architectures. for example, the larger dog is a St Bernard, with a wide head and ears. the correct setting of the front straps to go comfortably over her head does not match the correct setting to stay tight against her chest. adjusting the chest straps while it’s on her is tough. a suggested improvement would be a simpler and faster way to tighten and loosen the front for getting it on her and then tightening it up for walking. the snap along the chest protector does make that tightening better, but the binary choice of shorter/longer is insufficient. perhaps some type of easier slider on the front straps, akin to the tightening mechanism on a backpack, would be good.3. the same for the smaller dog, who is a Cattle Dog, and therefore somewhat differently shaped from a Saint. there’s essentially no issue getting the harness over her head, but finding a setting where the chest plate clings tightly enough is tough. it can’t get any shorter than it is.4. finally, the carabiner at the end of the car harness is a great idea. of the four different car brands where I’ve tried to use it as recommended, however, none has a seatbelt buckle narrow enough to fit. using the carabiner as a carabiner is hard on arthritic hands. as a way of anchoring the dog comfortably, the solution is fine. if the kit came with a seat-belt lock it would save the bother of having to buy one after you discover there’s no real anchor — unless, of course, you have recently stopped using kids’ car seats and have extras on hand.

Great quality, might need a little bit more overlap in sizes
My dog has a 15.5 inch neck and a 23 inch chest which puts his neck in the small size and his chest in the medium size. I selected the medium thinking that that would be ok but it made the front leash attachment essentially unusable as it would just pull around to his shoulder when he pulled. The quality is really nice. I love that it had a car attachment (even if not crash test rated). Though he didn’t tolerate being attached in the car very well that is not the fault of the manufacture. Also the blue color is not my favorite type of blue. It is not teal but it is apporaching teal. It is hard to represent color accurately via a screen because the image color needs to be encoded correctly to represent reality AND the person’s monitor also needs to be set up correctly. In some photos the blue color looked a bit deeper — leaning towards a “royal blue” where, while blue, these leans more towards a light blue or teal color. Again, not for me or my dog (I’d buy the black one if buying again), but some people will like the blue.tl;dr — This is a great quality harness with excellent value for money. If you want to use the front leash attachment, you need a pretty tight fit around your dog so be aware of that. Maybe avoid this harness if your dog does not fall within the size ranges for both chest and neck — even if close.

The large fits my 40 lb dog a bit loosely but as itâs meant for 50-80 lbs thatâs ok. She is only 6 months old so she will grow into it. She does fit in the chest measurements for the large size. I donât see the looseness affecting its use as a seatbelt but it might not work super well as a no-pull harness until it fits a bit more snuggly as it will rotate around her a bIt right now. It seems extremely well made and sturdy. A lot of seatbelts use flimsy metal pieces for strength while this uses strong webbing and double stitching. The plastic clips are for holding it on only, not for strength. I prefer to attach the carabiner around the webbing instead of using the metal loop but thatâs easy enough to do. I have the Kurgo seat belt attachment (separate purchase) that clicks directly into the seatbelt which I prefer as its so easy to use but the included strap will work well. I probably wouldnât have bought the separate piece if I wasnât using it for her puppy sized seatbelt. It would be nice if theyâd switch to the direct seatbelt style at some point.
