Not just for reptiles
So far loving it. I use the lower light setting in the evening, and my birds are learning it time to get ready to sleep. Before I got this they just sat, ate, sat, drank, sat, sat, sat. Now they fly around, sing, even started eating more fresh foods. And their colors are improving.

Defective bulb
I’m giving it 4 stars because the bulb flickers. I’ve tried every which way to fix it and nothing. My 50 gal uvb is from the same place and doesn’t flicker. Hoping they send me a replacement bulb.EDIT: dropped this to one star. It wasnt even a full day and the entire fixture blew out. Amazon told me to contact the seller, which i did, and I was basically told to eat the cost. I’m out of money and a uvb light. Mind you, I have purchased lights from this company in the past and have never had any issues.

I really like this UVB light system. The fixture feels to be of good quality and it is super easy to use. It is bright and illuminates well. However, the primary thing I like about it is its versatility. I have gotten this for a baby turtle, and this length is a great fit for her enclosure at the moment… but as she grows and I upgrade her cage, I like that you’re able to connect additional fixtures to it. The ability to switch between T5 and T10 is pretty cool, as one fixture can thus cover different species of reptiles with different UVB needs. While it may be a bit on the spendy side, this is a fixture that can be used for a wide variety of situations and enclosures, making it worth the cost. However, it is worth noting that UVB bulbs all lose their effectiveness over time, so it is recommended to replace them every few months!
