Decent enough cat wall items, with just a few odd details
I’ve been building a cat furniture / wall utopia for my cats in recent months, so this seemed like a no-brainer to check out. I’m glad to have them, but they may end up serving as accessories to other plans or the seeds of ideas for some of my DIY endeavors. These came well-packed and with everything needed to assemble them… technically. It does include a screwdriver, but do yourself a favor: Toss it and use someting bigger that fits the hand better. The wood pieces are nicely sanded, the edges are neat for the most part, holes for screws are pre-drilled in all the right places, and the included hardware may not be top-of-the-line, but I had no issues with them bending or with the heads stripping out during installation, which is more than I can say for a lot of other relatively inexpensive cat furniture.Assembly is easy enough that the instructions aren’t really needed, but I did compare what I did to the instructions and managed to get it right the first time. It shouldn’t take more than 10 or 15 minutes to put the pieces together, then whatever time you take to mount them.Pay attention to the dimensions in this listing’s pictures before purchasing. Neither the steps, or the box, are very big. Arguably, the steps don’t need to be big, they just need to provide a way to get to the box (or some other place). Some cats may chose to sit on them, but mine definitely won’t. The platform at the bottom of the box is big enough for a decent sized cat to lay down, but the box itself is not, and may not provide the “cover” some cats may want to feel fully surrounded.Where this loses a star comes down to some of the minor details. The carpet/padding on the “steps” is glued on and very thin. It will help provide some grip but won’t stand up to much scratching. The box does not have any mat, covering, or carpet at all, so you’ll have to provide that if you want it. There’s also no mat or pad on the top for the cat to sit on.The sanding and finishing are good overall, but the corner radius of the top and bottom of the box don’t match the sharper corners of the sides. It doesn’t seem like much, but after it’s assembled, it’s easy to notice, and might be more noticeable once mounted. In my opinion it makes the assembly look and and feel cheaper and more DIY than something purchased. What I plan to do before mounting it more permanently is sanding the corners of the sides to match the corner radius of the top and bottom, which I think will make it feel much more put-together.You can leave the wood unfinished, or paint to match or contrast with your walls, or t looks like it would take stain nicely. I would imagine that a water-based varnish of some kind would be a good idea if staining, otherwise it will probably look flat and dull.Doing this myself with this kind of good-quality plywood, plus the time to cut and sand everything, would cost me more than this does. With the coupon that’s currently available I think this is a good deal, if the relatively small size and minor details I mentioned aren’t a big deal for you, or you’re willing to put in just a little bit of work to iron those things out.

So easy to build
This was insanely easy to put together. They send you an extra of each size screw, which is nice, just in case. They also provide a drill bit (I assume for the wall) and a screw driver. I used a power drill to assemble. Had I used a screwdriver, I would have gotten blisters. The drill made this go so fast. The steps fit together tightly and easily. 5lb & 13lb cats for scales. Cathy also wanted to chew on the screw driver. The listing photo shows the opening of the cubby pointing to the left. I followed the included instructions which has the opening to the right (as seen if mounted on wall). You can easily change the position of the two sides if you want it the other direction. This is heavy and solid, very durable. While solid, this is a softer wood. I liked this because when putting the screws in, I was able to press enough so they look countersunk. This gives it a smooth appearance and you donât have screw heads sticking out. This is a great value for the price. Itâs really hard to find wall mounts for cats that donât cost an arm and a leg.

Includes everything and ready to customize
I ordered this set of cat wall furniture to allow one of my cats to be able to get away from his brother, and since the steps are too small for his 18 pound brother to climb, he has found an unreachable resting spot that is all his own. The wood is unfinished and I have not decided whether to paint or stain yet, and I was waiting to see if they would be a good fit first before putting in that extra effort. The assembly was easy and all the pieces lined up perfectly. It took about an hour for me to assemble and hang them by myself. The hardware was included and instructions were easy. There were no issues at all and the boards are even sanded. I do not have any tools to cut or even sand boards, so this set was perfect for our house! I put his small blankie in the box and he went right to it and loves it.

Great stairs for the cats, they climb up and down them all the time with no issues
These steps work great. They were really easy to put together and mount on the wall. They seem small but my cats have no issues using them. I like the light wood color. It allows me to leave it as is, or paint them. Since the wood color is light, it doesn’t take a ton of paint to cover over it. They are sturdy and work well. The biggest thing to think about when putting them up is what angle your cats are going to get on them from. If your cat would be jumping down on to it, it needs to be really securely attached to the wall.

Minimal but sturdy and fun
Since I have an indoor cat in an apartment, Iâve been thinking of getting one of these for a while to offer my kitty a bit more activity and space. So far sheâs still a little hesitant, though very curious (itâs worth noting that sheâs very wary of anything new). Overall, I think itâs a great setup. It took a little elbow grease to put together, but it was pretty simple, especially with the instructions. It also looks pretty subtle and even a sort of mod cute up on the wall, unlike a lot of ugly cat trees and such.I do wish the little house box was lined rather than naked wood (I put a blanket in it), and the steps/platforms are a little small. Itâs more minimal than other similar setups Iâve seen (this could be good or bad depending on how noticeable you want it to be). In any case, I think itâs a great simple starter cat jungle gym, especially for small spaces, and itâs sturdy and easy to assemble.

Room for adult cats, not too heavy, quality materials
I was so excited to get this for my fur babies! It’s an ideal price for the complete setup, as most models can get pretty pricey. You may want to paint it before you hang since it just has a bare wood look. I was worried that it may be too heavy, but it’s built quite sturdy without a heavy weight. The steps are big enough for the kitties to step on, with room and the platform gives them a safe place to step before entering the house. It was easy to install, but two people are required. It came with dry wall anchors and screws, which is a must, and they are great quality. Still can’t get my cats on it though….but it looks great!

Perfect for Cats
Perfect for my 6 cats. They all love it. Was easy to put together and install. A little heavy.
