Horrible Horrible Horrible
Believe they deleted my review but this cage is lowkey awful, the plastic came cracked, the sand bowl was broken and itâs held together by rubber bands which is insane. This is not a good home permanently but temporarily.

Really wish I could love this.
But I can’t.I have put together a few of these rubberband enclosures and this one is by far the thinnest. The plastic of the upper part wraps terribly and is exceedingly bendy. Mammals and even strong invertebrates will get through this.I can’t use it for rats, mice, or hamsters due to this and that the door doesn’t really lock and is unsupported in the center. A determined small animal will definitely nose their way out of this.I think it’s likely overpriced for what you really get. There’s little functionality. I was going to use it for bugs, but I think the many gaps make it easily escapable.In the end it looks nice still, but I think I will have to find an alternative use like for plants or perhaps with modification small frogs or similar. The size is pretty good and I like it came with lots of options for the animal to enjoy, just wish it was functional.

Thin plastic top half but overall a cute starter cage.
The his cage is really beautiful..having it completely see through is amazing and can see your pets no matter where they are. Was a bit difficult to put together it came with NO instructions on paper you have to scan a QR code and watch a video of putting it together ..so a lot of pausing and playing as you grab the correct pieces. I wish the top half of this cage was the hard plastic like to bottom just because the top is a bit flimsy and will break if bent to much putting it together. Also I have a feeling that a hamster or mouse will eventually chew through the thin plastic on top. As far as the clips to hold it in place those are strong. The top is also held together by thick rubber bands so once those break you will have to find other alternatives to keep the top together. For a quick and cute cage for starters it is wonderful.

Mixed opinions on this beautiful habitat
It is challenging to review this hamster habitat, as it has some GREAT features as well as some DISAPPOINTING features. I have very mixed feelings about it.Pros:It looks really cool. When assembled, it is very eye-catching and fun.It has an integrated wheel, water bottle, multiple levels, places for your rodent friend to hide, a cool feeding pod, and a tunnel that goes out and around the front of the habitat. It just looks great!The clear plastic makes it visually very interesting and appealing. You can easily see your rodent friend running around.The plastic and wood pieces are precisely pre-cut to fit together exactly as they should.The video on Amazon is very helpful in assembling the habitat.The price is reasonable for all you get.Cons:The plastic is very thin, flexible, and chewable. As a science teacher, I have had hamsters, gerbils, mice, and other small class pets in many different kinds of habitats over the years. I think it would take very little time for a typical hamster or gerbil to chew its way through the plastic panels.I also think the wood pieces will get destroyed by a hamster or gerbil. They love to chew, so the cool house and ramp will probably get demolished in short order.This kit is the rodent house version of IKEA furniture – it takes quite a bit of work and patience to assemble it. There are NO printed directions. This habitat is not something you would give as a gift or to a child. A child would never be able to assemble it, and they would probably break it if they tried. You must refer to the video (which shows how to assemble it quite well) but it is on Amazon, showing your gift recipient the price.The plastic panels are held together by placing a tab on one panel into a slot on the other, then putting a small rubber band around the tab to keep it from going back through the slot. These little rubber bands are flimsy and easily break, so I would not trust them to last. Two broke immediately when I tried to place them on the tabs. Once they do break, that loose attachment point can easily provide an avenue of escape for your pet.The top panel that serves as an access hatch is only held in place by two tiny tabs that seem very fragile, and there is no latch to keep that panel down. If you have a cat or dog, they could nose that lid up in a second.In conclusion, as a person who has had many gerbils, mice, hamsters, and other small rodents, I can’t recommend this as a hamster or gerbil habitat. I just don’t think it is sturdy enough. BUT I plan on using this for housing a pet tarantula! I think it will be perfect for that. (I’ll add a few tiny screaming people…) So I do think this truly is a beautiful habitat, and somewhat fun to assemble if you like putting together IKEA furniture or models, but it is probably not sturdy enough for most rodents. It might be great for a lizard (if it is too big to get through the air slots) a large tarantula, or some other small animal that isn’t going to chew it up. My verdict – three out of five stars.
