For Big Fly Problems — Catch and kill up to 40,000 flies with the Big Bag Fly Trap. Perfect for outdoor areas, barns, stables, and yards where you need serious fly control.
Fast Acting — This trap uses an attractant bait that flies can’t resist. Lured by the scent, flies enter the trap through the cap and drown in the water.
Easy to Use — Follow the easy directions on the bag to expose the trap entrance. Add water to activate bait and hang the trap outside, at least 20 feet away from any living spaces.
Outdoor Use Only – Once activated, these traps have a strong odor. Only use this trap outdoors, and at least 20 feet away from any living areas.

Great for catching a lot of flies
I purchased these fly traps because we live in a rural area with lots of horses and other livestock around. Naturally, we have a lot of flies coming in the house at certain times of the year. I was curious to see if these traps would make a difference, and I think they have definitely reduced the number of flies in the immediate vicinity of the house.I hung 5 of the 6 within 50 feet of our house. They were easy to fill and hang, and I chose places where the trap was not sitting in direct sun, nor overly obscured by branches. I should also add that I am an entomologist and have worked with lots of different trapping methods for insects, so I was really curious to see how these would work. The product states which types of flies it will attract, and they are all species that are drawn to manure, food, or decomposing matter. So, these traps won’t do anything to help my horses. And yes, they are a little stinky, but you only catch a whiff if you are within 5-6 feet.Once hung, my kids and I watched them for an hour to see if any flies came it, and we did not have to wait long. Immediately, flies began buzzing around the traps, and within 10 minutes, there were at least 50 flies in some of them. It was impressive to see. They have been hung for 2 weeks now, and there are SO MANY flies in all of the traps. The coolest thing is that the one trap I placed about 100 yds away from the house out in the horse pasture. One day I saw a turkey vulture walking around underneath it in search of whatever was giving off the decaying smell. To address the primary reason for using the traps, which was reducing flies in the house, I have not seen any flies inside in the last two weeks. I don’t know if it’s just because of the traps, or we’ve just kept the doors closed, but I would definitely recommend using these, if only to see the traps in action!

Very effective
Iâve been using these for years around the barn and pasture. Iâve found they work best, attract any more flies, if hung at ground level instead of higher up. A friend who owns a large ranch with cattle advised this. Makes sense, thatâs where the manure is. Yes, the smell is terrible as they fill; I change them in early morning, when the air is still and cooler. I already hung three, mid-April, and could have done so earlierâ I was surprised (and grateful) at how many flies are trapped, never to breed. Each fly trapped supposedly reduces the seasonal number by tens of thousands.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:The reviews were positive and I can see why.  This has helped tremendously keeping the flies at bay!! For some reason the flies this year are worse than Iâve ever seen in my 70+ years!!Iâve had these traps up a little over a week and the fly problem is basically 95% GONE!!!Great product. Finally can enjoy our yard!
We have 4 dogs (3 that are giant breed) and a quite small suburban back yard. But with all the dog ð© (even with frequent cleaning by a poop-scoop service), the flies are atrocious in the summer. Itâs difficult to enjoy our beautiful patio with so many flies! I started using these traps a year ago & I am astounded by the improvement! I agree with the others who recommend to not look inside the bag⦠itâs what your nightmares are made of. However, Iâm so glad all the life-cycle-of-a-fly situations are trapped in this bag instead of flying around my yard, buzzing around our head, and sneaking in our house. Iâm writing this review while sitting on my patio & thereâs not a fly in sight. Iâm so grateful for these traps and the improvement on our quality of life as a result! 10/10 recommend! When discarding the traps, get a sturdy trash bag, leave the trap hanging, and bring the trash bag up around the trap. Through the outside of the trash bag, push the cap closed- then tie the trash bag securely and discard. And try to do it while not looking too closely inside the trap ð¤¢Iâm glad that the bags are designed not to be transparentI gave 1 star for the scent of the product- but thatâs the whole point. They are supposed to smell horrible in order to attract the flies! I donât not smell it myself unless Iâm right up on it.Thank you for a great solution to backyard flies!

FREAKING RAD on keeping flies down…but don’t look inside unless you want to have nightmares…
I’ve been using these things for a while now and they work great for me. I live in northeastern california. Hot and dry summer climate. When the water gets low later in the summer is when the flies tend to get bad. I also live next to a creek so that doesnt help.I hang these, one at a time, on my shed, a good ways away from my house. The smell these things put off is horrid but only from short distances. The flies are not drawn to the trap immediately. It takes a day or two. Hot, dry, stagnant air seems to draw them in better for some reason.I made the mistake of taking a peek inside to see how many flies might have “lost their way.” To my horror I not only found seemingly hundreds of dead or dying flies mounded on top of each other in the gross smelling liquid…but maggots feeding on the dead, dying and decaying. I would rather watch an episode of tele-tubbies with my eye lids pried open with those weird eye things from Clock-Work Orange rather than see a second of what I saw happening in that bag…my advice…set the thing out, leave it until it’s full, then throw it away. Your life will be void of flies and nightmares that may haunt you for the rest of your life.

I catches the flies.
It does a good job catching flies, but it smells like death. Be careful taking it down that you do not spill any. Rain fills up the bag too.
