Definitely a great starter first aid kit. Thoroughly pleased.
I absolutely love this. This is going to be so handy because I rescue. It comes with almost everything I need in a convenient case and the case is actually pretty durable. Like it’s solid. I’m pretty sure I could step on it and not do any damage. The only thing I’m questioning is why there’s actual Band-Aids in there. That doesn’t make sense to me considering it’s a pet first aid kit but that will come in handy if I get scratched I guess. It comes with a muzzle that is a size large. It doesn’t necessarily appear like it’s going to fit a pitbull or a golden retriever but definitely more of a medium sized dog. Around the size of a Corgi or a little bigger. I like that it comes with scissors and nail clippers I’m not quite sure how I would use the nail file that it comes with except for on myself. The tweezers are not the best quality but they’ll definitely work for the meantime I think I will be upgrading those. It comes with a bowl which is collapsible and I actually have the same one I use for travel in my car so that’s a really awesome item to have. There’s also two bottles of topical saline solution which I would have never thought to put in there. And I like the ice pack I just had concerns I was going to bust it open and make it get cold when I shut it back up. It is one of those single-use ice packs. Overall I’m really satisfied with this first aid kit it is a great starter item and something that would be fantastic to have in the car when you travel especially if you’re with your pets most of the time or if you’re one of the kind hearted individuals that will stop to help an injured animal on the side of the road like me. It’s by no means going to help you with any major injuries like you have a dying animal in your car or anything but for like a dog that may have been bumped by a car but seems otherwise in pretty good condition with a few scratches or something or minor bleeding it will definitely work. It’s just not a life-saving medical kit by any means. There’s also enough room inside of the first aid kit for you to add some of your own personal items as well and I like that because there are a few items that I prefer to travel with that it did not come with so I’m going to put those in the first aid kit before I put it in my car.

Every pet owner should get one of these
What a great kit. The bright colored case will keep it easy to find in an emergency, and it zips right open to lay flat and give you a great look at most everything that’s inside for quick retrieval. The mesh pockets are a good combination of just tight enough to keep things from becoming a jumbled mess, while still allowing easy access to get what you need. There’s a pretty great assortment of splints, wraps and bandages that should cover the vast majority of cuts and gashes, and the included saline is a nice touch for the debridment of wounds. The nail file and cutters add useful capabilities where claw damage is encountered, and the chemical ice pack is a decent size for most dogs and cats. I’d say this is a great start, but just as with most human First Aid kits, it’s impossible to prep for everything and still remain portable. To round out this great kit I’d add a small spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide, and perhaps a small spray bottle or can of Blu-Kote. A field suture kit doesn’t take up any space to speak of, and maybe a surgical clamp or two. For larger wounds some sort of clotting agent or pad, and a pack of powdered electrolytes would also help.We have a lot of animals large and small and of many types, so I’ve had to play vet more than a few times, but I am not a veterinarian, nor a vet tech. Beyond that, my bias is that I default to DIY to save money, and because we’re many miles from just about everything, being prepared is part of our DNA (plus I was a Survival Instructor in an earlier life). Which brings me to the salient where things transition from emergency first aid to possible survival medicine. This kit, with a few additions, should allow most pet owners to do a good job of stabilizing an injured critter until they can be transported to a vet, or one can come to them, but it’s not going to grant you any special knowledge, so part of preparing includes educating yourself to what’s in the kit and how to properly use it. All in all, this is a very good place to start.

A Handy Item For Any Pet Emergency
This is a very thorough first aid kit for pets. It has a variety of first aid items to cover just about any minor injury as well as some that are not so minor. The kit is housed in a rigid zippered case, and there are two storage compartments inside. There are various bandages as well as two rolls of gauze, and the gauze even has a paw print design. The majority of the items are wrapped in plastic to keep them clean and sanitary until you’re ready to use them, with the exception of the tape, tweezers, scissors, safety pins, and tick remover. The kit is extremely handy and well stocked with emergency items. I am a little disappointed in the quality of a few of the tools, though. In particular, the nail file, scissors, tweezers, and tick remover are a little flimsy and don’t seem to be as high quality as they should be. The tweezers and tick remover are a cheap plastic, and the nail file has a very flexible silicone handle. The scissors are better than the other tools and seem to be pretty sturdy, but I still think there’s room for improvement. After all, a first aid kit is not an area where you should be skimping on quality. With that in mind, it’s a great kit overall that every pet owner should have on hand for any unexpected emergencies. It would also be a great gift idea for anyone with pets.
