No Static Cling! Tolerated by both dogs and a grumpy cat!
I dont even know where to start, there are so many things I love about this brush! NO STATIC was something I noticed universal across all of my pets and all of their different types of fur. I normally use a furminator with very similar teeth as this brush and after a minute of brushing their fur always gets a static charge and I have to stop brushing. This brush did not do that.Dog #1 is a black lab with a soft, short coat. This dog tries to bite the handle of every brush I’ve ever tried on her. This brush doesn’t have a handle, so she didn’t recognize it as her arch nemesis and feel the need to destroy it with her velociraptor labrador teeth-LOL. Her undercoat has not really grown back in yet this year since its just now getting cold, so I did not get to test the brush’s performance on that, but in all honesty, I wouldn’t have anything else to compare it to since this dog doesn’t let me brush her, until now. 10/10 for the dog who tries to attack all brushes with handles!Dog #2 is a mix of German Shephard and Pitt Bull type. She has a coarse, short coat and literally never stops shedding. Due to her coat style, regular dog brushes dont work on her, so I can only use brushes with the little metal teeth like this one and my furminator. The amount of hair this brush collected is identical to the furminator, but since this brush did not create a static charge in her fur, I was able to brush her for a longer period of time (think 20 mins vs 5 mins) so because of that, I was able to have a much more successful de shedding session with this brush. 10/10 for the never-ending shedder!Cat #1 is a log hair tabby who tolerates brushing only down his back but not on his sides or tummy. He must have really liked this brush because he actually laid down and let me brush his sides, then tried to grab my hands in a form of cat language that said “I did not give you permission to stop” when I was done. No static when brushing the cat either. 10/10 for the long haired, grumpy cat!

Heavy Slick Thick Coat Comb & Deshedder
This is exactly what I was looking for in a deshedding tool. I got this for my dog, and while he is not a double-coated breed, his slick coat is pretty thick. He sheds a decent amount and has sensitive skin, so this is perfect for helping to relieve the itch that comes with excess fur.The wooden handle is solid. It is a good size and weight, and the blade is not too grabby or slippery. It’s going to do the work for me.The construction is uniform and sound. I dropped it on the walk and it didn’t fall to pieces. The metal comb is wedged firmly into the handle. If it is glued in place, I’d have to take it apart to find out.This arrived just in time for his coat to thicken up for winter, so I’ll get a couple of uses out of it before putting it away for the cold months.This was a good buy!

Strong and sturdy. My new go-to brush for our golden retriever!
We have a golden retriever who needs to be brushed often. I have tried every type of brush on him that I can find. I have been looking at this brush for a while and finally decided to get it. This brush is super strong and sturdy so I’m positive it will last for a long time to come. I have included a picture of all the hair I got out with just a minute’s worth of brushing! I love how it fits into my hand for easily. My dog loved it too and wanted me to keep brushing! I not only love that it gets his undercoat easily, but it can also be used on the shorter hair of our basset hound and our cats. Super easy to clean the hair out of it unlike some other brushes I have used. This will be my go-to brush from now on!

Worked perfectly on my boxer and he loved it!
This deshedder worked amazing!! Iâve seen them advertised before and knew I wanted one for our boxer. Of course his hair is super short but this worked miracles!!I hate getting all the hair in the tub when I give him a bath so I decided to use this on his coat before to get out as much as I could. Considering he doesnât have a thick coat this definitely got off a lot! He also loved how it felt. Heâs a boxer so he never sits still but he was so calm while I did this!Really happy with this! No tugging in his hair and it did exactly what itâs supposed to.

Not great
I think this would work well for short or corse haired animals. I have a chow chow with long and soft hair, and the teeth on this tool are just too short to get down to his undercoat. It barely pulled any hair up on his back or body. On his shins and paws though, where his hair is much shorter, it worked a little better. In comparison to my normal deshedding tool, it performed poorly. Also, I didnât find it to be as ergonomic as advertised. I had to grip and press a lot harder than normal to pull any loose hairs for my chow, which made the process uncomfortable for us both. As someone with arthritis in the base of my thumbs/ball of my palm, I found that it put pressure and required strain/stiffness from the portions of my hand that hurt me most to maneuver the tool properly. I rated two stars instead of one because I know this shape & style is common for deshedding tools, so this may be something that works for others.

Fits well in your hand and helps with shedding
This tool is a wooden handle with metal teeth. I tried it out on my Dalmatian with his ahoet coarse hair and it helped pull off alot of hair and left him silky smooth. He seemed to enjoy the scratches as I combed his hair. It also pulled off some dirt spots he had on him……whatever he got into. The handle is sturdy and fits well in my hand.

Works great on short hair
I used this on our short haired cats and had really great results. I’ve been looking for a product that doesn’t have razor blades in it and does a good job on short haired pets. I think this is the comb. It has a heavy rounded wooden handle and short, closely spaced stainless steel teeth that grab at the loose undercoat hair and gently pull it away with minimal effort. There’s nothing sharp about the product that could hurt you or your pets. Hopefully, this helps with some of the shedding and is a better alternative to hairball remedies, as it gets to the root of the problem. I would definitely recommend this for short haired pets.
