Catâs feast
Even if some cats donât like the flavors, (mine loves it) this brand provide adequate hydratation and good ingredients for our feline. The quality is nice, real meat. It smell like natural food. My cat looks healthier since she is on it, (for a 10 years old cat) good fur, good digestion, healthy weight.

The Nulo Freestyle Cat & Kitten Wet Food Pouches (Variety Pack), are easy to use/serve, and my kitty loves them – all but the plain chicken one. She’s an extremely picky/finicky eater, so the only kinds of wet cat food she will even think about eating are the ones that look, and smell, like regular human food (I can’t blame her, who wants to eat a jellied meat loaf product?). These pouches are well made with high quality limited ingredients – no fillers, by-products, additives, etc. – only real food. Overall, I think they’re absolutely worth the price, and I highly recommend them!

Simple ingredients
Im giving 4 stars because the food amazing.It only has simple ingredients the meat thats in it and thats it.Unfortunately in the process of trying to broaden my cats horizons for healthier food. He wants more broth/gravy than meat. So if your cats just love more meat than broth this is for you.

Score! All three cats 2 yr, 1yr, 8 month chowed down right off the bat. And THEY ARE PICKY!
From the minute I put the bowl down, all three ate immediately. The 2 yr old who is the pickiest would nibble, go back, nibble, go back. And usually she’s a nibble walk away type. I have struggled trying getting them to try healthier, more nutritionally dense meals. They will only eat Delectables and some of the Inaba, but I could tell were bored of it, so I was desperate to find something else for them. It’s been a year’s trial & tribulation to no avail until today! So happy to have a new wet food to add to their menu. I bought some of the kitten stew, so hopefully the reaction is just as positive.

Good Verity
This product didn’t go over well with me. It was had to open for me unless I use scissors. If you do this, you have to hold onto the pouch with all the liquid in the pouch. Once the pouch is open the liquid comes out it is a struggle getting the meat out. Here is where you now have to have a spoon. The cats like the chicken flavor, but any of the other they didn’t. This doesn’t mean it won’t be great for your cat. Please try it for yourself.

Fantastic for adding Hydration to your Cat’s Diet!
I have a senior cat that needed more hydration in his diet. His caloric intake is divided between half from wet food, half from dry. He is very picky, so adding water to his food is a no-go, and keeping him on strictly wet food is also a no-go. Most things you could think of, I have tried it. I have 6 water bowls in the house, and 2 water fountains; he is just not big into drinking on his own. It came to a point where the vet suggested tuna or fish broth to entice him, OR if that failed, then weekly subq fluids.I decided to try this product out on a whim to see if I could get him to drink more. I do not even bother feeding him the tuna (PLEASE NOTE: the product as-is is NOT nutritionally complete), I just drain a packet into a container, and add 2 oz of bottled water extra to the broth. I now give him about 12 Tablespoons of this brothy water a day, which is roughly 3/4ths cup of hydration per day in addition to his wet food. I’d prefer it if he just drank water himself, but hey, whatever works. Cats will be cats.That said, my finicky cat really loves the broth in this product, and it does keep him hydrated. My other senior enjoys a Tablespoon here and there as a treat, but it’s too expensive with the way I am using it and that one at least knows how to drink water on his own.

My 5 cats will not eat this food, not sure why. My Vet recommended this food, but my cats want no part of it. Only one cat tasted the food the other four sniffed it and walked away.

The Hydration Saga: How Nulo Saved My Cat (And My Sanity)
So, picture this: my cat, born in the chaos of a COVID lockdown at my husband’s friend’s house (think three kids, easy-going parents, total mayhem), came to live with us. He’s an absolute delightâenergetic, simple, funnyâbasically, the perfect cat. But for the first three months, he only drank water straight from the faucet, delivered via my hand. Adorable, right? Until he decided, one day, to stop drinking water. At all.Cue the panic. I tried every trick in the book. Watched videos, read articles, bought six different water systems. Amazon’s cat hydration department owes its profits to me. Nothing worked. My cat, stubborn as a mule, refused to drink. The inevitable happened: struvite crystals. I became a full-time pH checker, syringe-wielding water enforcer, and occasional medicator. I had to push water into his mouth with a syringe. (Yes, I was that desperate.)Following the vet’s advice, I stuck to wet food, sneaking in extra water. Of course, my cat caught on and gave me the “No way, human” look. Even his “treat” was reduced to a spoonful of Hill’s CD dry food. I kept experimenting with different cat foods, hoping to find one with more liquid. For two years, my cat sniffed, turned up his nose, and walked away.Enter my sister, talking about her dog’s love for vegetable broth (pre-salt, obviously). Broth! Why didn’t I think of that? Off to the local store I went, where a kind staff member guided me to a tiny, hidden section in the vast cat food aisle. There it was: Nulo. Whatever that meant, I was willing to try.I bought every variety they had and then some from Amazon. Six kinds. One try a day. On day one, he licked “Tuna & Salmon.” Hope! By day four, miracle of miracles, he started drinking “Yellow Tuna & Shrimps.” Spoiled? Absolutely. But finally, he was drinking!Fast forward to today: my cat is now a healthy 4-year-old. His pH strips are consistently a healthy yellow (knock on wood), he poops regularly, and his coat is silky smooth. On the outside, he’s still my same simple, funny cat, but I know he feels better inside.Thank you, Nulo, for ending my hydration nightmare and making my cat’s life (and mine) so much better! ð¾
