Guinea pig doesnât mean to mind the taste. I think it smells awful but they have served there purpose as itâs helping fill in his vitamin gap and keeping him healthy.

Convenient Way to Administer this Necessary Supplement
Some experts recommend against adding vitamin c drops to water because it makes it harder to measure how much of the supplement your guinea pig is consuming, it can alter the taste of the water in a way that some guinea pigs might not like, and vitamin c breaks down when exposed to light so it can become less effective if left in a clear water bottle.I still prefer this product over other options primarily for it’s ease of use. If you change your guinea pig’s water regularly (daily or every other day) then you get a pretty good idea of how much of the supplement they’re consuming. The primary concern is that they get enough vitamin C so they don’t get scurvy. Excess vitamin C just gets expelled through urine, but that shouldn’t be a concern unless you’re over supplementing. If your guinea pig is drinking a normal amount of water and you’ve added these drops as directed then you’re in the clear. Regularly changing the water also avoids inactivating the vitamin C since light exposure is minimized.The altered flavor of the water hasn’t been an issue for my guinea pig. When I used a different product to supplement with a dose of vitamin C directly into my guinea’s mouth with a syringe he rejected it so water supplementation was definitely the way to go.I recommend a smaller water bottle so you don’t waste supplementing a large amount of water. It also makes adding the correct number of drops easy. I use an 11-ounce water bottle so I know that I need to add 22 drops every time I change it. One bottle of this lasts about 5 months.Great price and easy to use makes this an easy choice and an easy 5 stars.

My guinea pig eat it in pellets. Havenât seen any changes in behaviour although cap keeps leaking and itâs very sticky and disgusting Iâm sorry but they still eat it so it deserves at least 3 stars
