Good alternative
Great quality for the price. These last almost a full season for my horses: they are out on 80 acres so theyâre quite tough on fly boots. I would recommend a size M for most 1000# horses; save the L for Warmbloods and such.

Made well and doing the job! No flies!
So I actually only needed one boot for the leg wound I have been trying to heal for months. The flies in Arizona have been so bad and SWAT worked but encourages the formation of proud flesh, which I didn’t want any more of. So my vet recommended I try fly boots. I had bought some before but they were more of a fitted boot and they didn’t fit his leg. These boots, however, have size ranges (I bought a large for my 16.2h QH) and they fit tight at the bottom and loosely at the top. No flies have been bothering the wound and it has been able to close nicely!I do want to note, make sure you check the boots often to make sure they don’t rub your horse. I haven’t had any issues so far, but long-term use with any boot can cause rubbing. Again, so far, so good. Very happy with my purchase!

Great for annual purchase
ANNUAL PURCHASE!!! I wouldnât expect these or any fly boots being worn full time to last more than 1 summer. That being said we REALLY like these. They stay up, mostly keep their shape, tearing is minimal by end of season and straps stay intact. Colors are nice and flashy. Nicely sized and easy to clean with hose down and hang dry. Keeps the stomping at bay and for an annual purchase not too pricey.

Good product
One month in and these are holding up well on my 6 year old OTTB gelding. He is 17hh and the size large fits him well. I like that they are made of sturdy mesh, are easy to take on and off, and can be brushed to clean. I haven’t had a problem with keeping them on him and they’ve made a big difference with the flies bothering him.

The greys are more sturdy but I love the blue color. They work great and prevent the use of flies spray (that donât last). I really recommend these! I used to remove them every night but now I leave them on 24/7. Wash them once a week. NO WASHER PLEASE you want to keep them sturdy.

Way better than expected!
Bought for our 27yr old gelding, he seems to be a fly magnet this year for some reason! Boots have stayed on over a week now no rips or anything! Velcro is holding strong. He is 16.2hh and I got him a large they fit perfectly! They are good quality for the price! Definitely a bang for your buck! Will be ordering more colors soon for him!
