Absolutely love this product. I’ve bought several jugs for my horses. They eat it no problem. Now that they’ve been on it for a couple months they dapple and glow like no other. I get complements all the time.

Helping my horse gain weight!
This was purchased for a 30-year-old equine at my barn, finding the right supplement to help him maintain a healthy weight has been a challenge. That’s why we decided to give this oil a try. We have given him this oil twice a day in his grain. This is the second bottle we have purchased. After a few weeks of adding this oil to his feed, we noticed an improvement in his overall condition. But most importantly, the vet was very pleased with his progress and weight gain. The oil itself has a nice smell and mixes well into his feed.My only minor complaint is that the oil can get a bit messy, but that is a user error too! LOLI would recommend this product.

Linseed / Flaxseed Oil for horses
I’ve been looking for something to increase the caloric intake for my ancient Hackney pony, so was happy to get the opportunity to try this product. The description says it’s a blend of cold pressed linseed oil & calcium, with the ingredients listed as Flaxseed oil, Calcium hydroxide, Magnesium sulfate. Apparently linseed and flaxseed are exactly the same thing, with the linseed term being used more commonly in Europe, flaxseed in North America.The jug arrived well-packed (I normally don’t give attention to packaging in reviews – but we’re talking about a gallon of oil here…) It was vacuum sealed and smelled fresh when I opened it. I used a quarter cup measuring cup to ration it out. It’s pretty thick – like honey. Stuck nicely to the pelleted feed and my two horses ate it without hesitation.The ancient pony is having trouble shedding this spring, and I’m hoping that the gallon will be enough to see if it’s going to help with that as well as weight gain. I’ll update my review when it’s gone.

It’s a fantastic horse supplement.***Original Review Below:I received this horse supplement through the Amazon Vine Voice program.I normally feed an organic, cold pressed flaxseed oil to my horses, so when I saw this blended product to assist in digestive processes, I decided to give it a try.So far, it’s simple to use because I added a pump dispenser to it. The bottle doesn’t come with a pump dispenser, but I had one that I purchased separately for a gallon sized container.The horses consume it just fine, as I’m adding it to a pelleted feed. Time will tell regarding outward observation of my horses condition and digestion.My cost was 49.99 for a gallon. The price is currently at 42.99 while I submit this review. That said, it’s an average price for flaxseed oil.

Great way to add more Omega 3!
This is called Carron oil but in the US we would call it flax seed oil. I really like that it has calcium mixed with it as well, as that will help my mare that is subject to ulcers. I had been feeding stabilized ground flax but I’m switching her to this oil because of the added calcium. She eats it readily, but I am starting her slowly on it as it is something that should be added to the diet gradually. I did put a pump on the bottle as it makes it much easier to give. The bottle is large and heavy to constantly pour out of it so the company might want to consider either giving a pump with it or making it available to purchase for a small price. I’m looking forward to using this supplement as it seems like a quality product.

Oil
I was very excited to try this horse supplement. I have to soak my horses food so I liked the idea of an oil because it adds even more moisture to his mouth. The oil has gone into his food undetected so thatâs encouraging. I have noticed a difference but I know the season is changing too and I think thatâs helpful. This is an excellent supplement and I am really enjoying using the oil.

Flaxseed oil with calcium and magnesium
This flaxseed oil supplement is easy to give and the horses seem to like it. Iâve had no problems getting my pickiest eater to eat it in his feed. Having the oil instead of having to grind flax seed every day is also very convenient! Iâm looking forward to shiny coats this spring.
