Good quality – a little smaller than expected – chains are very long but I just looped them around hooks. Overall very happy. Saves a lot of bird feed from falling on ground.

Chains too long
Catches some seed but not all. Chains too long, my dog can get her face in there and eat all the leftover bird seed which is what I was trying to prevent in the first place. Will have to shorten chains somehow.

Great seed catcher and birds love it!
I needed something to catch the falling seed that the birds kick out of the feeder. This works great! Does it get 100% of the falling seed? No, but does a really great job. The thing I wasn’t expecting was the birds LOVE this hanging under the feeder. After 2 days of having it up, I saw my first Rose-Breasted Grosbeak just hanging out in it!! Loved this so much, I bought a second for my other feeder.

Update: After using this for a bit longer I realized how much of the seed it was missing. Under my feeder is just a bunch of grass growing in the rocks. Also, the seed it was catching was just sprouting and eventually the whole seed catcher was full of grass and worms. Disgusting. Will be returning.I like this. It catches a lot of seeds that would typically fall to the ground and sprout. It doesn’t catch everything but it does a pretty good job. One annoying thing is that I have to keep adjusting it so it doesn’t make my bird feeder hang at an angle. Not perfect but works pretty well.

Perhaps theyâre particularly messy birds, but the bird feeder creates a mess on the snow – so this tray was purchased to recycle the feed waste and hopefully reduce the mess. Seems to work well and Iâm pleased with the results.
