Clingy kitten – work from home solution!
I have a 7 month old kitten who is VERY clingy. I work from home from the computer and my kitten is obsessed with being near me (and on my keyboards). I needed something to help her be closer to me but alsoâ¦leave me alone so I can work. I attached this to the edge of my desk and I am so pleased with the durability and size. The print is adorable. My kitten is slowly accepting the bed instead of walking all over keys and purring in my face. She will nap there beside me and I finally have some opportunities to work. If anyone has a clingy kitty, this is a great bed. Worth the money in my opinion. And- bonus, my big boy 3 year old cat fits in it too!

Will work great on a solid desktop.
I was pretty excited to get this desk pet bed. I was researching windowsill ones, but my windows and sills weren’t compatible with any of them. So when I came across this desk model, I thought it would work for me. Unfortunately my desk has a lip that hangs down about 1 1/2″ below the underside of the desk. When I went to install the clamp on it, the round end that secures the bed to the the underside of the desk got hung up on the lip. But I found a board the right thickness to fill in the gap between the lip and the underside of the desk, and was able to finally attach the clamp correctly. So, problem solved! (or so I thought.) I got the bed put together and set up, and put my 13 lb fur baby in it. She really liked it and hung out there for a couple hours. But when she went to jump out of it, the clamp slipped off of the board, and the bed started to disconnect from it. I thought I hadn’t tightened it enough, so I tried to wind it tighter. But the plastic knob kept slipping, and I thought I would break it, so had to stop turning it. I gave it 4 stars, because it’s real easy to put together, the bed is soft. The size is good, too. My cat likes to spread out and relax sometimes, and this bed allows for that. I just wish the part that screws into the underside of the desk extended a couple more inches away from the clamp, and the knob you use to clamp it was sturdier. If you have a solid desktop this would definitely work for you, but I am gonna have to return this bed. 🙁

My cat loves it.
My cat loves this. She curls up and naps by me every single day while I work. She weighs 10 pounds and this is very sturdy. It doesnât move or bend or wobble at all. I would absolutely recommend for anyone with a clingy, desk-hog.

Versatile and useful!
My cat loves this! He likes to sit on the desk next to my son when he is on the computer, this gives the cat a place to “hang out” while he keeps my son company. Easy to set up, the cat finds it comfortable even though it seems a bit flimsy to me, but the bed is not for me, the cat enjoys it. ^_^

My risk-averse cats aren’t convinced.
As a work-from-home cat parent to three clingy felines, I desperately wanted this bed to be the solution to my “desk takeover” problem. The glow-in-the-dark space fabric is adorable, the metal frame feels sturdy, and the sunken design seems cozyâin theory.In reality? The hinged folding mechanism creates a subtle side-to-side wobble that, combined with the deep basin shape of the bed, makes my cats hesitate to step in. Even after two months of bribery (treats, catnip, pleading), only one of my three will occasionally use itâand even then, she bolts at the slightest wiggle.Maybe bold, agile cats would adapt, but my cautious crew votes “no.” If they release a non-folding version with rigid sides, Iâd try again in a heartbeat.

Better than expected
This folding desk bed is much better made than I expected at the price point. Quality materials and good craftsmanship. I could find anything to fault in those categories.There were only two potential weak points and neither of them concerned me. The first is that the frame is in two pieces which snap together like other metal poles everywhere; however, due to the thickness of the frame it should take a good while before that actually occurs. A solid frame would be stronger, but more expensive to make and ship. I fully expect this one to hold up.The second would be the weld from the frame to the drop hinge attachment. Simple physics makes this a potential failure point, but the weld was exceptionally clean and well mated. Neither of these two would prevent me from ordering it again.The desk mount itself is engineered well with thick plates that should not bend. The fabric is light and airy. The instructions were right on target and it took about ten minutes to put together (I had two four legged helpers delaying me).In use, I love the fold down. It lets me put out the invitation for when I’m at the desk, but can be folded down to get by or when not in use. When folding, just remember to lift at the back straight up and remember to make sure it’s really all the way down when you put it back up.Bottom line, I really like it.
