Durable, great hole size, love the different colors
These are our favorite hay bags. We love all the different colors to help us keep track of what kind of hay is in each or how recently the bag has been put out. The hole size is perfect not to big that it’s too easy but not to small for frustration. They are very easy to fill if you put them around tote. We’ve had one for over 3 years and it is still going strong.

5 months of heavy use and as good as the first day we used it!
We have 2 horses and use our hay bags extensively. Morning and night they are in use. In the past we have used Tough 1 brand, but found that they get holes in them so easily, and the cinch string at the top breaks almost immediately and has to be replaced by hay string, which interestingly enough, lasts way longer than what it comes with. The first Tough 1 brand ones we bought a few years ago were okay, but the newer ones just don’t last. In contrast the Weaver leather hay bag is working out fantastic. It has a heavy rope cinch at the top, not the flimsy type Tough 1 uses. It I could give it 100 stars I would. I love, love, love it! Actually am buying another one to replace a Tough 1 that has a hole in it big enough for a flake to fall out! 🙂 Yeah for Weaver leather. Making and selling a quality product. Thank you!

    Great Product
Having a farm of special needs animals, I am well versed in slow feed hay nets and these are by far the best I’ve ever used. They’re well made and easy to use with the top draw line being white and easy to find. Made of nylon, they’re quite suitable for soaking your hay prior to feeding when meeded. I love using them and bought a total of 10 once I gave the first one a try. They’re not the cheapest but they’re well worth the few extra dollars you’ll spend on them.

    Okay
I bought his for when my horse stayed in a stall at night because she has a tendency to spread hay around her stall and pee on it. This has kept the mess level down to a minimum. I do however feel that the tie string is just a tad too long (I also wish it was purple like the rest of the net, but thats not very important.) It has held up great to a very determined pony, and after several months, still no rips or large holes. It also lasts throughout the night so the holes are a good size for making 3 large flakes of hay last until breakfast.

Best hay nets we’ve ever used
I run a horse rescue in Oklahoma. One of our horses has chronic laminitis and needs to eat from slow-feed nets. We’ve used many, many styles and brands of nets, and these are, by far, the best quality, sturdiest, best designed hay nets we’ve used. They’re big enough to fit over a full bale and strong enough to carry half of it. The nylon rope is thick enough to stay in place as you stuff the hay. My favorite thing about these nets is that the top rope is white, so you can distinguish it from the rest of the bag when it’s time to tie it up.Other bags we’ve used attach the top tie with rings that bend and come undone, unravelling the netting. These nets are all nylon rope with no rings. When I hang the nets between pens, our horses don’t destroy them as they wrestle for hay.I highly recommend these sturdy hay nets!

Small enough holes that small animals can also use them!
After carefully reading TONS of reviews, on numerous slow feed hay nets available, I decided to purchase this one. Am I happy I did! I originally ordered it for my mini pony, probably in March, who made a massive mess with the regular hay nets. It works WONDERFUL! And recently, we were surprisingly blessed with twin lambs, and twin kids! So I gave my ewe the hay net, which still works wonderful for her and the lambs- no worries about heads getting caught! I ordered a second, just last week, for my nanny goat, and no worries for her or her kids getting their heads caught, either!! I do hang them both, about a foot off the ground, and try to keep them full, so there are no issues with little hooves getting caught! They are holding up very well so far!

Best hay net for the trailer
We prefer this hay net to trailer horses as they can easily access the hay from any side, top or bottom. Light, easy to fill and empty, folds compactly for storage.

Seems very sturdy, but holes are not as small as I had hoped.
I was trying to find some small feed hay nets that I ordered a couple of years ago. The picture looks just like the ones I have, but these are not the same ones. The material is sturdy, but the holes are 2″, possibly bigger. I need new hay nets, so I will keep them, but I was very disappointed in the size of the holes. The description does not give the hole size.

I have bought 3 of these hay bags. I use them everyday to feed my horses their hay and they work great! If you are looking for a long lasting and durable hay bag this will be your go to! My horses are definitely not easy on them and they are still in great condition. I did buy a purple one and I found it was smaller than the others and it did wear faster.. but the other 2 I have bought (pink and green) have held up great! Will definitely be buying again.
