Transport and Feed All In One
I liked this hay bag because it made transporting a bale (actually a little more than a bale) much easier, *and* it provided a feeder for that hay with the simple unzip of a zipper. The small squares I get are right about 36-39 inches, so I was able to stuff an extra couple of flakes into this bag, easily. Zipped up, it keeps it all confined and keeps it from shedding inside my truck, so I don’t have to worry about blowing out all my camping gear quite as much when I get to camp. It was nice and sturdy with a thick canvas type material that resisted efforts from my mare to rip it open, and the netting kept her from dumping the bale everywhere, which meant that I didn’t even have to mess with setting up her usual slow feed net. It’s so convenient; I definitely recommend this for a weekender trip or a show.

Didn’t last long
It was pretty big, and could have held a lot more hay than what I had to put in it. I actually didn’t expect it to be quite that big.It did its function well enough, I suppose; held the hay.But it also did not hold up very well. It was with my horse for a few days before being destroyed.I feel like it could be made of something sturdier, but really, I kind of feel like this would be more useful to me as a storage bag for hay I’m not ready to use. I’d prefer to use a net, or a trough of some sort, I think, for actually feeding it to my horse.

Works well for the price, not for everyday feeding though
This works great for transporting hay and feeding your horse on the go, but hasn’t held up over daily use. We use a slow feeder for our two horses everyday, and I’m already seeing some wear and tear. To be fair though, I don’t believe this was it’s intended use and it’s more for occasional travel and transporting full bales of hay. It’s definitely big enough for a full size bale and it does make hauling hay easier. The holes are too large though to act as a slow feeder for my horses, but it does keep them from ripping the whole bale out of the carrier.

thin, lightweight, and low end zipper
We ordered this hay bag to bring whole bales on road trips where they are open to the wind in the back of a truck. This bag is very lightweight compared to other brands, and the zipper is very thin and not very strong. The bag is spacious. The handles on the sides attach to webbing that runs all the way underneath and connects to the other side. This will work for us if we are gentle with it, but it is not winning awards.

I ordered this bag to see if I could use it as a household goods storage bag.Yep! Large enough to store winter/summer clothes, soft enough to store in back of closet,etc.I’m pleased.

Great concept but cheap materials
If you want to use this to put hay in the backseat of your car than it is great. However, if you want to use it feed your horses with than itâs not the best. I have horses with shoes so I prefer webbing to string hay nets for safety. The webbing is nice enough and easy for the horses to eat the hay. I was excited to have a ground feeding bag for when we camp placed that donât have anything to tie hay bags too. What I donât like is that the top zippered cover canât be stowed away anywhere and that the material is cheap and flimsy. The zippers are small and cheap as well, which I consider a problem when itâs being used for hay. My horses are very destructive and wouldnât trust them alone with this bag. What seemed like a good feeding solution ended up an expensive travel bag for hay. It is a very large bag and can accommodate various sized hay bales. It also has ventilation holes which is a must for hay in bags that can potentially sweat. Overall, I was disappointed with the quality for the price. I wouldnât recommend it.

Great size, study, strong bag
I ordered this for our non-profit dog rescue. Not for feeding hay of course, but for storing and carrying pet products for our events and fundraisers. The size is great and since we have a cart carrying it will not be an issue, but the size allows us to store and transport a lot more in one bag rather than lots of bags. The fabric is great since it is made for hay it is durable and the stitching is good – we do not bother with the cross section on the top but it doesn’t get in the way. The zippers seem great quality and open and close smoothly, it has cushioning on the handles for comfort when carrying. This is a great bag, and I am sure it would hold up for its intended use of hay. Highly recommend, high quality bag.

Not real thick material.
Nice, large hay bag. It fits large hay bales. It even has a built in net so that you can feed straight from the bag. This comes in so handy, especially on quick overnight trips. It is not made with real thick material, which is concerning when you are lugging around large hay bales. All in all, it is a nice purchase.
