Packed with natural ingredients
Wellness Complete Health Grilled Adult Wet Cat Food (Salmon and Chicken Entrée Recipe) is packed with natural, healthy ingredients. The first ingredient is meat. The food is chunky with a little bit of gravy. I appreciate the easy open lid. It makes serving my cat easy. My cat will eat this food, but isn’t excited about it. Fair value.

An appealing cat food
The Wellness Complete Health grilled wet cat food is a healthy grain free wet cat food for adult cats. Just prior to the ingredient listing on the can, what is first described is what is NOT an ingredient . This Includes NO artificial flavors, preservatives or colors. The label also makes a point of making sure we know this is a grain free product and that this product is free of carrageenan. I had to look up carrageenan. I found out that carrageenan is a seaweed based gelling or thickening agent. The first ingredients listed that are actually in this Wellness product include turkey, turkey broth, water (sufficient only to process the dried egg that is included) and turkey liver amongst several other ingredients. This is a high protein cat food based on the turkey, dried egg and turkey liver ingredients. This is also a moist cat food that supports a cats hydration. My cats seem to like gravy and gravy like products so this moist cat food with “sauce” is very attractive to their tastes.I am not qualified to tell you if the ingredients and nutrients in this Wellness Complete Health cat food is truly what a cat needs for everyday nutrition. I can tell you that two of the three cats I feed daily quickly gobbled up this wet cat food. The cat that didn’t eat this Wellness product is a 16-year old finicky “I only eat tuna” and “I only eat tuna in a thick gravy” cat. So let’s focus on the two cats that are receptive to the turkey flavor. The Wellness Complete Health cat food is not at all foul smelling. This cat food is actually quite attractive (for cat food anyway). It is easy to spoon out the product into cat bowls. I have two cats who love the Wellness Complete Health cat food and can’t wait for this as their next meal.

Gravy-rich turkey that my cats clean the bowl
I have been feeding this for about two weeks, and it has been a hit from the first can. The grilled cuts in sauce are soft and easy for my adults to eat, and there is plenty of gravy for the lickers in the house. The pull tab opens cleanly, the food slides out without a fight, and there is no harsh smell when the can opens, just a mild turkey aroma that gets immediate attention.Ingredient quality looks strong for a daily food. Turkey and turkey liver lead the list, with added taurine and a few helpful oils like sunflower and marine microalgae to keep coats shiny. There are no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives and no carrageenan, and it is grain free. The moisture level keeps hydration up, which I like for cats that are not big water drinkers.Performance matters most, and my crew tells the story. Even the picky one eats this without me needing to dress it up. Plates are licked clean, and I have not seen any tummy issues or leftovers drying on the dish. The 3 ounce cans portion well for mixing with dry or serving solo, and the texture stays consistent can to can.If you are looking for an everyday wet option with real protein up front, gentle gravy, and a clean label, this is an easy recommend. My cats love it, it agrees with their digestion, and their coats look great.

five cats render their opinion of this cat food
Tested this food out on 5 cats we have. They can be finicky eaters. Any rejections or acceptances are noted as observed.Patch: she ate the food without any reluctance and seemed to like it.Dolly: took one sniff and walked away. She would not touch it.Junior: he’s a big eater. He ate about half the dish before he decided that was enough. I gave each cat one full can to try.Sweetie: is one of the hungriest but also one of the fussiest. She is the mother of the other four who all were born in the same litter. She ate hers and then waited for Junior to leave and ate the rest of his, too.Wibbles: not ever the biggest eater. She ate a little bit and didn’t seem that impressed but that is normal for her since she usually prefers dry kibble. So out of five cats there were 3 general acceptances. One lukewarm but not surprising response. One spurned it altogether. I would say this is fairly typical for this group of cats. They actually liked it better than I expected. I made sure they were hungry before I offered it to them. I would say for a new food it rated fairly highly with them. There is always one who doesn’t like the food. This time it was Dolly. And she might eat it the next time. Cats are fickle. I try to give them some variety but they also prefer familiar foods. We will keep offering this food to them.
