Pretty good!
This fits snap backs with straight brim as well as dad hats with very curved brims, not sure about fitted hats since I dont own any. I open the hat snaps or unbuckle put in the washing cage and pinch the opened hat parts with the washing cage housing itself. My medium washing machine can fit all 3 at the same time and do not add anything else in the load at Max water and delicates. They hold up during wash and hang to dry inside the washing cage so they dont lose form or shrink in the head band part. If forehead part is too dirty (sweat) you’ll need to prewash with cleaner and brush, leave a few hours and dunk in washing machine. Washed all my hats (20+) and washing cages are holding great although they feel a bit flimsy. Still I dont need to wash hats that often so I think these will be useful for an acceptable time. If they break I’ll return to this review.

It’s ok, but not perfect. I used this in the washing machine!
I tried putting it in the dishwasher but it didn’t clean my dirty hats as well as I wanted. I then tried putting it in the washing machine. The first time I tried it, the hat got out of the cage. The second time I put 2 cable ties to keep the cage closed and that worked nicely. I like the washing machine method because the entire hat gets soaked under the soapy water which makes a huge difference. My white hat came out looking bright white again! If you have dirty caps that are light colored, I suggest putting detergent on the dirty areas, and then after the washing machine fills up with water/detergent, let it run the cycle for a few minutes to slosh around the soapy water through the hat, then turn the cycle off and let it soak for an hour or so. Then turn the cycle back on and let it run its course. This method really made my hats very clean because they soak under water. The dishwasher didn’t make my hats clean. The only gripe I have is that the bill is too flat, and will flatten out the curve on the bill of your cap. If the bill curve was more and there was a way to lock the cage during use so it doesn’t come apart in the washing machine, then this would be the perfect item for washing your hats in the washing machine.

My father and I wear hats a lot. This fits our hats well, functions well for what it’s designed to do, is easy to assemble, is built well, and lightweight! Does the trick for putting our hats in the washer and dryer.

Description indicates caps in washer forms can be placed in washer or dishwasher. It is not specified front loading washer. First time I used them in top loading washer all three forms cracked and broke. Beware they are not made for top loading washers. Easy to use and will try them in the dishwasher this time.

I like this product. These arrived quickly. They are a good price. They close and stay close – can be a little tricky to open. They keep the hat a good shape. I wash the hats in my dishwasher – yes, I said it. I wash the hats only (no dishes) and then I do a dishwasher cleaner after. If the hat is especially dirty use a stain spray first. The hats do come out quite wet so I let them dry in the cages also. I would recommend this product.
