Gets the job done!
This bit wrap is as expected. It’s soft, sticks well to itself and holds up. I use it to wrap around chains that I use over noses so they don’t pack as much of a punch on my young horses when practicing in hand work. I’m really pleased to find this and as my go to brand has been impossible to find in the past year. I would recommend this as a close second. The roll is narrower than I’m used to, but it does the job just fine!

Helps my smaller horses feel comfort when using a bit.
Itâs just a simple kind of bit wrap. Nothing more nothing less. But if you want your horse (especially younger ones) to feel comfort than this is a great product for them. It cushions the feeling of the metallic type of bit and creates comfort. It allows me to deal with the horses easier and gives them more comfort, so there are no problems there. I do feel it may be slightly overpriced for the length of bit tape you get, but that is all within my viewpoint. Beyond that it works well and makes my smaller horses much more comfortable.

I had high hopes for this product. I’ve been waiting and waiting for someone to manufacture this again after the original went off the market.It comes with limited instructions and there is a cover on the material that does take some effort to peel away to get to the material, but it’s not overly difficult, just no instructions to explain this needs to be done first.I wrapped a leather bit that my mare had chewed on to see if it would hold up.It was stretchy (albeit difficult to get started without another set of hands to help) and I used about 8 inches for this particular bit.After it was wrapped, I tried a short trial to make sure it would come off and choke my horse – maybe 15 minutes during which she chewed like a puppy. It held up enough to pass that test.I rode in it for 25 minutes and she still did not manage to chew through it, BUT, the wrap started to come unwrapped in the area that neither her tongue could push on or her teeth could chew on (see pictures).I made sure that the wrap ended in the center of the bit and the final edge was facing towards her muzzle so she could not flick it with her tongue – yet that is where it started to unravel. To me, this is unsafe. It was stretched tight and pressed firmly at each point during the wrapping process, so I do not think it was user error.Now, to be fair, my mare is part puppy and LOVES to chew on soft things. She does flick bits with her tongue.However, as I mentioned, the terminal edge of the product was in that one spot neither her tongue nor teeth could reach.Perhaps others, with more well behaved friends, will have better results but this is what happened during our short trial.I wouldn’t not recommend this, but I would say to try it during a short trial to see if it becomes a choking hazard on your horse, too.My photos start with the product, getting the protective layer off, how much I used, where the wrap ended, the short trial results, then the results after riding in it – the chew marks (great results), and where it unraveled (poor results).

Great Quality Horse Bit Wrap
I was happy to get this horse bit wrap. It’s made of 100% latex and it’s so soft with a nice cushiony feeling. It should help with cushioning the bit and prevent rubbing. It’s pretty durable and can stretch 2 or 3 times longer. The inner portion has enough sticky side to stick it on. It is 36 inches in Length X 3 inches Wide. This is great quality horse bit wrap.

Good yet strong
Its not bad! Pretty strong material, but I wish there was more length and width. Was a little small for my needs. But its strong and my horse has no complaints.

Great way to try different variations without having to buy a bunch of bits!
I had heard of these before, but had always just opted for a rubber snaffle. This makes it possible to try and adjust different ways of wrapping instead of having to buy or borrow different bits until a more permanent solution is found. Extremely happy with the latex wrap!
