Keep in mind when purchasing!
Love the product!!! It’s all I have been looking for my outside rabbits during our harsh Wisconsin winters. It does keep the water from freezing. The rabbits used it immediately, too!!! The only problem is that the cable got chewed already after 3 days of use. To remedy this problem, I just ordered their other model with the chew proof cable. I am going to use all of the items that came with this one and didn’t came with the chew proof cable one, such as the black insulation sleeve. Pretty much going to merge them. I wish I could replace the cable, too so I can have this one as a spare. Love their other products, too. Like the optional base, which can be use for a lot of their other products as well. Love the modular base idea!!! Anyways, great product, but avoid for rabbits unless you have the ability to raise the cable above their reach, which in our case we can’t! So buy the chew proof cable one instead of this one. Please make a feeder for rabbits (same as the chicken feeder) but with a big enough opening for the rabbits to safely eat from. Also, that can be place on the modular optional base! Keep up the hard work!!! Next spring we are going to raise chickens in their own coop! Guess where I am buying the things we need??? Hehehe!

Good for Maine winters
I purchased two of these to replace a less reliable heated waterer. I am very pleased with these. They are performing very well in these Maine winters. We have seen -14F this year and had absolutely no issues with them freezing. Theye are easier to fill than others I have owned. I am very happy with these and will purchase again if needed.

Great product, keeps water from freezing
Purchased for my outdoor Rabbit hutch where we house two mini lop-eared rabbits outdoors in Western NY (where our Winters are rather harsh and cold), which actually aren’t so mini. The waterer works as advertised, keeps the water from freezing in temps well below 25F. The photo I posted shows the waterer on the left side, next to the feeder. The insulation around the feeder is nice but it makes it impossible to see how much water remains from the camera inside the hutch, so it should be manually checked every couple of days. Since the waterer holds 64 oz of water, it generally needs a refill once every 4-5 days, more often in the Summer during hot dry weather. Great product, so far so good.

Excellent waterer for winter
Previously our outdoor rabbits used a different company’s clear heated waterer. They always leaked profusely causing huge ice build up under the waterer and I had to replace them probably twice per winter. I am SO GLAD I found these and gave them a try. They do not leak at all. They hold quite a bit of water so I don’t have to fill them frequently. I saw a review that said the rabbit was eating the cord but these can (and should) be mounted on the outside of the hutch so that only the metal nipple extends into the cage. The waterer and cord are on the outside of the cage for easy filling. These waterers are making me hate the winter just a little less this year!

Great drinker
This drinker is easy to clean and works well. I wish the chord was not chewable and that the lid was a better material. However the overall design is great. I havenât used it in sub freezing temps yet.
