Amazing
I have been using wxaact for years. Although, it is a wonderful product, my baby bird did so enough enthusiasm for it. I decided to give Tropican a try. WOW! What a difference in behavior. She gulped this formula down in the seconds flat. I will be using Tropican from now onAs far as the product it self.It is easy to use. It smells wonderful, and has a nice creamy consistency. It is almost like smooth, melted, creamy peanut butter, with water.

Great formula if you can make it lump free.
First, I will say that this product raises some healthy, happy babies. I have no problem feeding it to them except for the lumps getting stuck in the syringe.I have had birds and baby birds for over 20 years, so this isn’t my first rodeo.I’ll always use another brand until the last baby I got where the breeder use this brand. My only complaint about it is no matter what I do,I cannot make a batch without lumps. I’m not talking lumps the size of basketballs. I’m talking little lumps that you wouldn’t want your cake. I stirred with a spoon,I stirred with a fork, I used an electric hand mixer and still got lumps. I used the hot water, I used warm water, I tried putting in the powder in a little at a time, I tried putting it on all at once and adding the water. I cannot make it lump free. That said, the babies didn’t seem to mind that much until they got a bit older, then you could see them trying to figure out what it was with their tongue.As first mentioned, is a very good formula that fed out some healthy baby Green-Cheek conures. Very healthy, happy, active, curious, brave beyond their size, Green-Cheek Conures.If it was my choice I would have preferred the other formula I’m used to, but it was a mixing issue it wasn’t a nutrition issue so that’s why I deducted one star.All in all it’s a good formula for baby birds, and I recommend it.

Stick with Kaytee.
Not a fan at all. I tried it after a recommendation from another keeper. I had to use a milk frother to blend it properly due to clumping and the measurement instructions on the website are obnoxious. The babies (cockatiels and budgies) fed this formula were slow to feather and grow, always seemed very hungry, and took forever to wean. I lost a baby for the first time ever. I don’t believe the recommended water to food ratio is appropriate, and yes I triple checked my proportions. I swapped back to Kaytee and the babies immediately picked up in growth and seemed satisfied. I’m sticking with Kaytee. I checked some online groups and other people reported the same issues. I really discourage use of this formula.

I think this is a great product. The Mama and Daddy bird stopped feeding the babies properly at 2 weeks. We didn’t know if the babies would make it. To give the parents a break I hand feed them with a special spoon in the mornings. I’ve never done it before and the instructions are a great guide. The babies are doing well at week 4. There’s a video you can watch from the manufacturer and I found that quite helpful. You should also have a food thermometer handy. Lastly, I usually have the small bowl in a bigger bowl with hot water to maintain the temperature and I have plenty of paper towels cut into small squares on hand.

I bought this formula because unlike most products available, it’s not made out of baked goods waste and the composition is very clear. I use it to feed my pet rats, either when they’re sick or when they’re too old to eat solid foods. They love it, it’s a good way to boost their appetite.

Great product for baby birds not feeding from mother or being hand reared ..easy to use and the birds seem to eat it just fine .My little canaries have thrived using this food great healthy birds now . Value for money , I would like to see it in a smaller bag because depending on how many birds u are feeding itâs quite a big bag x
