Very low quality tools
This is a very low quality set. It might be a cute gift for a little girl with a new pony but honestly, just make your own kit from higher quality tools. I do not find this to be a good value, currently on sale for $45.I have a horse and the first thing I did was throw away the metal curry comb. It is very sharp and definitely should not be in the hands of a young child. I have never seen a metal curry with such sharp points. There are 2 combs, one so small it is useless and the other might be ok for a pony with a thin mane and tail. The stiff brush is good except it is very small. Maybe good for a small child but not for an adult with a normal size horse. The finish brush is actually pretty good considering it has plastic bristles. Probably the highlight of the set. There is a sweat scraper, low quality plastic but okay. A bag of very small rubber bands, and a massage type brush you are supposed to put your hand into. The pocket on this brush is adult size and not very comfortable. There is a plastic curry that is quite flexible and it actually works pretty good. The bag is plastic lined so probably pretty waterproof but not a good quality of canvas so I’d guess it won’t last long. Outside pockets are handy. I’m struggling to find positives.Overall, this might be an okay gift if your in a pinch but the quality is not good. Just buy the kid some quality tools.

Decent starter kit, but low quality
I donât have a horse, so I wasnât able to test this kit on one directly, but I wanted to share my thoughts on the overall quality. Most of the tools are made of plastic, and the handles donât have any non-slip coating, just smooth plastic, which may be harder to grip if your hands are wet or dusty. The bristles on the brushes are medium-firm, which could work for general grooming. The quality feels pretty basic, so Iâd consider this more of a beginner or occasional use set rather than something for serious or daily grooming. However, it does come with a handy bag to keep everything organized, which is a nice bonus.
