It works well in holding 4 glass API test tubes and the reading chart. Its small and light like it was 3D printed, you probably can make one if you one.

Very useful — avoid breaking test vials!
After inadvertently breaking a vial of API’s water test, and not having an extra one at the ready, I ordered this product. It is perfect — you can fill your test vials, place them easily in their marked slots (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH), and the API color chart booklet also fits very neatly into a slot behind the test vials, making it easier to read the colors in your water testing. This item is a hard, white-colored product which should prove to be extremely durable. It is not a flimsy plastic, and the white color makes it easier to discern the test vial’s colors.It would be nice if API would produce, as an option, not only their complete test kit, but this product within the complete test kit — of course, they’d have to redo the packaging, but I think it would be worth it.

Game changer
A little pricy, but this is a real life saver. Always thought tube racks were unnecessary but i finally caved after breaking nearly all of my original tubes, and it’s made testing that much easier. The spacing lines up nicely with the color chart too. I do wish there was an extra tube holder for both pH tests.

Wish it had drying columns
I really like this holder. Makes it easy to fill and read results. Itâs sturdy and easy to clean. The only thing missing is a drying rack on the back.

Thoughtfully designed and well executed
This is a 3D printed item but it is of good quality and it is very functional. There are many thoughtful design touches – notches in the tube holders to hold the tubes upside down, the caps can be flipped to either side in their holes, drainage channels that facilitate airflow for drying, tabs to hold the API master kit chart, and the tube line up with the scales on the chart regardless which pH range is tested.

Perfect addition to the API Master Test Kit
Well designed, and functions perfectly. This tube rack is sturdy, waterproof, and perfect for preventing spilled water samples, or broken glass vials. I replaced the plastic test tubes that were included with the API Master Test Kit, with glass vials, as the lids on the plastic ones break easily. This 3D printed tube rack holds both the vials and glass vial lids perfectly, and I love that it also holds the Master Test Kit booklet with the reference chart. The booklet slides in to the holder perfectly, making it easy to read results, without dripping water all over the booklet. Honestly, I didn’t know I needed this until I tried it, and now I wish API included something like this rack with the test kit!
