However, customers disagree on the ease of use, with some finding it simple to use while others say it’s hard to figure out how to operate. Moreover, the timer’s functionality and accuracy are mixed, with some reporting it works well while others say it doesn’t keep the correct time. Additionally, customers find the instructions confusing.

Watch a video on how it works. Won’t save you space on the power strip but it will save you time.
If you are like me and you looked at this with pure confusion as to how to set the timer, do a quick search for a YouTube video. As soon, as I realized you need to lift up the little black tabs, everything made sense. Tried to fiddle around and figure it out myself but it was way better once I saw someone else do it. As for how it’s working out for me, so far it’s been amazing. I set it up for my geckos. Daytime light on one, with nighttime heat pad on the other. As soon as I realized the tabs lifted up it was super easy. Took just a few seconds to set it up once I knew what I was doing. It has the timer mode but it also has a switch that just turns both things on. Perfect for testing to make sure both things plugged in work without needing to wait and check back when the timer switches from day to night cycle. If you need a timer that will switch from one thing like a light to another thing like either a heat pad or a nighttime light then this will make your life a lot easier if you were manually switching between the two before. It is a little bulky, kinda blocks some of the other power plugs on the strip I put it on. So it likely won’t save you space on the strip. It’ll probably take up the same amount of space as having both plugs still in use. For me it takes up the outlet I plugged it into AND the outlet right next to that is blocked. But, I wasn’t trying to save space, I was just trying to make my setup more “automatic” and this has done exactly that for me.

Simple, and it works. It’s what I needed.
My initial response after getting it hooked up is that it’s exactly what I needed. It’s simply built, with a similar timing knob as other timers. A quick manual test of rotating the dial through the set times confirms the basic function; when one outlet is powered the other is not. I appreciate that it uses built-in pieces for adjusting the on/off time rather than the removable ones that can be lost.I haven’t used it long enough to know how well it keeps time.I didn’t know this even existed until I found myself needing it. My only complaint so far is that I was kinda looking forward to building one from relays and an Arduino. Oh well, it’s probably better that I not test my DIY abilities on my snake if I don’t have to.

Happy toad ð¸
Working good for a few months now, use it to turn light on and off for our toad.Only thing I donât like is when you plug it in to an outlet on top it partially covers the outlet underneath it making that outlet not useful for other items. There are ways around it though.

Cheap, both came broken, turns back on on it’s own
Took it out of the box and there was a piece shaking around inside it. So something is already broken and I haven’t even used it. Amazon sent me out another one, and the same exact thing. It shouldn’t have a red plastic piece flying around inside it. Tried it out anyway. The instructions are not easy to figure out on how to set the timer. I only needed it for the daytime socket. Thought it was working ok until I awoke around 2am to find the lights had been switched on. And before you ask, yes my pins were switched correctly to turn on the lights at 8am and shut them off at 7:30pm. The sensor that turns the timer slightly pops pins back up and that’s why the lights are coming back on again. Threw both out and waiting on a digital timer now. Can’t have uvb and baking lamps turning on in the middle of the night for my bearded dragon. It’ll mess up with his day and night schedule. Just don’t buy this at all.

Overall, a great timer!
This timer functions nicely for dual-light fixtures on several of my reptile enclosures. Since this timer is not digital, there is a very faint whirring sound caused by the gears inside, but it’s nothing that will keep you awake at night. I’ll update this review if the product ever fails, but after a couple of months of use these are holding up great. The only “problem” I have:There is no off setting in between day and night mode. As soon as the daytime bulb goes off, the night bulb immediately comes on. I would’ve liked a setting in between where neither light is on for a period of dawn/dusk hours when there is little sunlight/moonlight, but for the price I’m not complaining.

Amazing!
works as intended for my ball python’s terrarium. Instructions were a little confusing but that might’ve just been for me haha

Good Timer
I’ve bought 4 of these over time and so far they’re all ticking! They’re good for making a day/night lighting cycle. They have a little switch on the side if you want to force it on instead of being timed. My only complaint would be the overall shape does make it that it covers multiple outlets so you won’t be able to plug as many things in.

Difficult to use
This is difficult to use, only one outlet seems to work not sure how the other is supposed to work

The instructions were not completely clear, but there were YouTube videos to help. It works perfectly and I have had no problems with it at all.

Funcional pero si no tienes experiencia con este tipo de timers no es fácil entender la forma de programarlo. Aún asà funciona a la perfección
