Accuracy was rather ballpark, so I was never that thrilled with this outside of aquarium temperature sensor. However, finding something that I do like has been hard, so I am only taking one star off for this since it is affordable at just $8.99. The battery lasted over 6 months, but I don’t recall how long specifically (and it’s dead now, had it about a year and a half). It’s small so it doesn’t take away from my aquarium, but it is also large enough to read. I’ve included a photo of the temperature monitor at my 180 gallon mixed reef saltwater aquarium. Wildly inaccurate, no Fahrenheit reading, no instructions
Different reading every time — readings ranged over 3 degrees Celsius within just a few seconds. Fahrenheit never worked at all. No instructions, just a plain box. Wonder if it was used.

Good accurate thermometer that sticks on the outside of the tank
In the past, I’ve used thermometers with a suction cup that sticks on the inside. However, my goldfish are rather destructive to their environment and have knocked it down several times. I was worried that they might break it and the insides of the thermometer would leak into the tank, so I switched to the stickers that you put on the outside of the tank. The problem with those is that they weren’t precise (lots of guessing) or as accurate (sometimes they’d be off by more than 5 degrees).After having this thermometer on for a week, I can say that I trust it much more than the sticker ones and I can rest easy that my goldfish won’t accidentally kill themselves with it. The thermometer has a peel off sticky on the back so that you can stick it on the tank. You click the power button once to turn it off and on. You can also change between Celsius and Fahrenheit by long pressing the power button. This was easy to set up, easy to use, and accurate and precise enough for me. Also, for $10, I’d say this is reasonably priced.

No probe,Already stopped working
I purchased this because it said it had a probe to get the water temperature.There is no probe,it has no instructions,it sticks on the outside of the aquarium glass.not sure how it could be accurate if it not actually measuring the water temperature.Already stopped working,not even a month??

Quick response aquarium thermometer
I was surprised when I attached this to my aquarium. The temperature on the thermometer adjusted very quickly, like in less than a minute, and appears accurate. This thermometer can be read in Fahrenheit or Celsius. It came set for Celsius, but it was very easy to change it to Fahrenheit. It uses a button cell battery, which is included and came preinstalled. The thermometer came with a stick-on label on the back, which was very easy to attach to the tank. I have turtles in my tank and they like to knock everything down, so I cannot use a thermometer inside the tank. I have a thermometer strip stuck to the outside of the tank, but it no longer works, so it is nice having a fresh new thermometer that works. Overall, I am very happy with this thermometer and so glad that I ordered it.

Small and pretty accurate thermometer for the fish tank
I needed a thermometer for my 10 gallon fish tank. This one looked like a good size thermometer for a small tank so I decided to get it. There was no instructions provided. The unit came inside a small white box the same size as the thermometer. I guessed that I had to peel the tape off so I could attach it to the glass. I figured it had to be done on the exterior since the unit is powered by a battery. I donât think a battery should be exposed to water. Thereâs a small round metal piece in the middle and back of the unit which I thought would be how the unit senses the temperature. I picked a spot to affix the adhesive tape to the fish tank. Then I pressed the small power button on the top right corner once. The numbers appeared on the small screen. It was in Celsius. I tried pressing the power button and held it down. It switched to Fahrenheit. The temperature started to climb up and eventually settled on what I assumed to be the current temperature of the fish tank. I donât think itâs the most accurate but itâs accurate within 2-4 degrees. I can live with that. The heater I have for the tank is set for 76, so the reading is close to the temperature I want the tank to have. Iâm not sure how long the battery will last. There doesnât appear to be a way to replace the battery. I guess it will have to be disposed of once the battery dies. I hope the adhesive tape will come off easily with a bit of pulling but I will cross that bridge later.
