Loved it I bought two
I absolutely adore how it seamlessly integrates with my Byrd camera. Itâs incredibly user-friendly and easy to assemble. And letâs not forget about the squirrels! I havenât even bothered to use it yet. Itâs incredibly sturdy and can support a lot of weight. Or bend over like some of those shepherd hooks.

Bluebirds are interested!
Bluebirds suddenly appeared in my suburban yard last July, so I hurried up and bought this pole for a new bluebird house (not included), and also added a squirrel baffle (not included). Set everything up according to the standard (not facing west or east, etc). At first the bluebirds didn’t come back, but around September they appeared again and were checking out the house on this pole! They’ve appeared several times since (once on Christmas Day) and have shown great interest in the house on this pole. I lowered it a bit so that I can clean out the house because I expect they’ll start using it in the Spring. This pole was very easy to set up and it is heavy duty and very sturdy with the four prongs in the ground. The squirrel baffle (not included) fits well on the pole and wobbles nicely to scare squirrels and chipmunks. I feel this is a very sturdy pole and I plan to buy another to set up an additional bluebird house.

Adapt, Modify & Overcome
Yes, I borrowed the Marines culture motto, but for good reason. The smart plastic camera bird feeders and solar panel with “standard” pole size are infuriating to try and mount on a pole mount. We have Chip the squirrel, Rocky the raccoon, and Bucky the deer all vying for a taste of bird seed, the birds get left out in the cold if we are not careful. This sectional assembly pole is the correct size, sturdy, durable and tall enough to allow for the required baffle to keep Chip and Rocky at bay, tall enough to hopefully discourage Bucky. BUT….there is no way in heck to actually mount the feeder to the pole and have it firmly and securely attached. So adapt, modify & overcome. This means that the manufacturer’s supplied mount for the feeder is not going to work at all, the end of this pole is way too small for that little set screw to hold the feeder securely on the pole, it wobbles and will in time be on the ground. Especially if Chip, Rocky or Bucky get frisky and find a way to toss it off for a bird seed buffet. There is a piece in this pole package that looks like an “L” with the pole attachment has a hole for the thumb screw that goes into the bottom of the feeder, but the hole is way too small for the thumb screw. Drill time, drill the hole a tad bit larger and voilà the thumb screw fits through, tighten with an allen wrench. First issue was overcome with modification. Next issue how to hang the solar panel on the feeder mount, the feeder has to be well away from trees or other convenient jumping off places for Chip and Rocky (yes Rocky can do some damage jumping from trees and garden arches to bird feeders, don’t I know). So, how to get that solar panel on the back of the feeder, putting it on the ground is just asking for one of the dogs to use it as the newest chew toy. There are screw/boltholes in the back of the metal L shaped pole mount, but they are too far apart to match the screw holes on the solar panel mount, more drill time, measure the distance between two of the holes in the solar panel mount, then drill a new hole in the metal mount. Enlarge two of the holes in the solar panel mount to accommodate #6 machine screws (I used an ice pick, you could use a drill, but it is soft plastic), then mount that solar panel to the back of the L shaped metal pole mount using the #6 machine screws and bolts. Adapted, modified, and overcame the obstacle to mounting the feeder and solar panel to the pole, high enough and far away enough from trees, garden gates/arbors and other possible jumping off points that could be used by Chip or Rocky. This left the over-abundance of cable between the solar panel and the bird feeder UBC C port, easy, keep it tied up as it came, let out enough to reach the UBC C port, tighten it back up after letting out a few inches, then use two heavy duty twisties to tie the cable roll to two of the spare screw/boltholes on the back of the L shaped pole mount.

Sturdy and easy to install and put together.
Pretty good poles and very sturdy, but the one anchor foot broke off as soon as pressure put on it to get it in The ground. I bought 5 of these and the other 4 were perfect and worked well, so I wonât judge by one issue. The screws that come with it for mounting are way too small to be of any use, so you will need larger screws. On one house I had to use nuts and bolts due to the wayThe attachments were drilled. You will most likely need a drill for new holes in your houses as none of my 5 fit the predrilled holes. As to the seller, there is no contact info available to try to get a new foot piece sent for the broken one. Their only presence is on Amazon apparently, which is not inspiring. Iâll see how they make it through the winter, but for now, they do the job, look pretty good and were easy to put together.

This is a true heavy duty pole kit.
This is a high end pole kit. When assembling, the pieces not only thread together but one end is just a bit smaller and drops into the other end making the ends overlap by about two inches and then the threads are tightened making this a superior pole to stay upright for a heavy weight birdhouse. I got lucky and got it on sale, and as soon as I put it together I could see it was waaaaaay better than the one I got from a different seller a few weeks ago so I quickly ordered another of these to replace the inadequate pole. The problem with the inadequate pole is it just threads together without overlapping and it has a lean to it with the heavy birdhouse on it. This pole will not do that. I got the green, it blends in and I love it.

So, so happy with this!!
In short, this birdhouse pole mount kit is everything the description says it is. It is easy to assemble — even an older child could do it. It is sturdy — so far mine has withstood several gusty-wind days. Everything you need comes in the kit. It is made of quality materials. My brother, who has mounted numerous birdhouses, originally mounted my house on a tree, but a cat camped out under the tree and scared the bluebirds away. I ordered this pole and my brother came back to mount the birdhouse on it. He LOVES this kit! He couldn’t get over how easy it was to put together, how easy it was to mount the house on it, and how easy it was to put it in the ground. As an experienced birdhouse mounter, he highly recommends it!The pole comes in several sections so you can adjust the height. My brother wanted to use all the sections, but I convinced him to leave one out so I can reach inside to clean out the box after the birds vacate it.I had bluebirds checking out the box within 24 hours and I’m 99.5% sure they are now occupants!

Perfect contrasting green colour for my garden & birdhouse. Sturdy metal and easy to fix in ground when relatively soft. Adjust height by adding or omitting pole sections. I ended up using Gorilla Glue to fix my birdhouse as I didnât want to drill holes in my plastic birdhouse. Also added a squirrel deterrent. All in all has remained stable through wind & rain through our terrible summer, Iâd definitely recommend.
