Active Ingredient
This is an excellent product for the price! I’m always skeptical of cheaper treatments because once you apply anything to your cat you have to wait a month before using something else. I purchased this because of the active ingredient Imidacloprid. From years of experience in the pest control industry, I know this compound is safe and effective. It will begin working quickly with a drastic improvement in 1-2 days and continue to provide protection. The itching will decrease and some it is from skin irritation only and will eventually subside all together. Great product overall.

Effective flea control for cats
Advantage flea control for cats was recommended by my long time vet. I have been using it for many years. It gets the job done of killing fleas and their eggs without messy flea powders or collars that gave a couple of my cats a serious rash that was often difficult to heal. With Advantage itâs a quick application on the catâs skin toward the back of the neck or high between the shoulder blades – areas cats canât reach to lick.Advantage is a little expensive when you have 6 rescue cats to treat as I have, but it is far less costly than the vet bills & cortisone shots when they get an allergic reaction from flea bites or when you have to buy a flea âbombâ or get an exterminator to rid your home of a flea invasion. Been there, done that. Just get Advantage!

Grateful for an affordable option that is SAFE & WORKS
This worked very well, no side effects at all. However, there were a few random fleas on her a month later (no where near how it was when i first gave it to her) so i gave her the second dose today, a little over a month later. I am confident that this dose will eradicate them completely. I will probably repurchase and give two more monthly doses just to make sure any missed eggs in our apartment that couldnât be washed, are killed off so they donât return. All in all an affordable treatment that works. If you canât afford the more expensive brands, you can trust this one.TIP: I only put the medicine under the cat collar. This enures they cannot lick the medicine which causes the majority of side effects.

An Amazingly Quick Fix To A Flea Infestation On My Cats Without Breaking My Budget!
Having used the vet prescribed version of Advantage Flea treatment for cats, I was familiar with the quick solution it provided until my Vet office changed to promoting another brand I found costly, and not as effective. I was more than pleased to find that Advantage flea treatments were no longer only vet prescribed, available here for ordering and at half the price I paid for vet only treatments that I found nowhere near as effective. No Werid reactions when used on my cats as the other brand seemed to induce occasionally either. AS they may get a little crabby, but thats not a skin reaction & I can live with their being mad for a bit as long as the fleas are gone? And gone they are, trust me!So pros are the cost, the lack of Werid reactions after placing on the uppers shoulder areas, safety assured, and extremely effective in flea control. Cons, well none for the cats, but think my vet is a bit disappointed I am not paying for flea treatments from his office any longer. I can live with that also, as he’s a great vet, but not needed to supply my cats with good flea control any longer! Direct from here! I am putting Advantage flea treatments for felines on auto ship so I can forget about NOT forgetting to order. Delivered to my door on time to where they do not have to be unprotected ever again! Im happy they are not having to stop every 2 minutes to scratch, then I swore I was itchy also! Lol. None of that anymore! Thank you Advantage!

Didn’t work
It worked for about a week. It doesn’t control the fleas. He also had a reaction at the spot of treatment. I’m not sure if it was an allergy to the ingredients or something else.

This product could cause death in older cats
I donât know if this was by accident or bad timing, but I used this product on my cat and she passed away the next day. I donât know how she was acting before I got home from work but she had been in the litter box having troubles using the bathroom. And then she threw up a little blood and probably had a seizure before I found her. Her breathing was shallow. She was unable to close her eyes. By the time I got her to the vet, she had already passed on my car ride after making some strange noises and having a brief procedure. I am not here to knock the product or say it will cause your cat to die, but I would suggest not putting it on a senior cat as there are rare cases of seizure and death. Please be warned.
