Too hot !
I think these things almost get too hot. My turtle did not recognize them because there was no light and he never did get underneath. It maybe they’re just too hot. I stuck my hand underneath it and had to pull right away like it was going to burn me maybe if I give the turtle a day night cycle, he would learn to like it better. If it cooks my turtle, I will update this review !

Burnt out over night
I used this for a temporary heat source for a couple quail chicks. Originally it was for my crested gecko. Unfortunately I did not test the bulb until after the return period. I hooked it up to my reptile lamp and left it on for the night and when I woke up the next morning it was cold and would not work. At first I thought that it could have been my lamp but I put a different bulb in it and it worked immediately. So the bulb did not even last 8 hours.

Good lamp for my turtle
Nice lamp and look my turtle seems happy, it does gives good warmness around the glass tank, brightness also not bad and for $15 for 2 lamps worth of this product for sure. Letâs see how long they will last and will go from there until next review.

Burn out
Purchased two packs to ensure we had back up heat, and boy am I glad we did. These bulbs are lasting at most 8 hours. Tried the trouble shooting, the lamp is the correct wattage and the temp set is fairly low at 75 f.

Do not work out of the box.
One does not do any thing. No heart at all. The other gets slightly warm. Not worth going out of my way to return. Would not purchase again.

Don’t buy garbage
Do yourself a favor and go with the good brand!!!! I bought a 2 pack and the first one only lasted 5 mins and then shut off. The second one doesn’t get above 85° in a 10 gallon tank, which is rediculous and not worth the box it came in . Taking this trash back and gonna buy a repti med brand one for $5 more . I suggest it highly!!!
