Do-it-yourself physical therapy techniques for keeping your dog happy, active, and pain-free-now and for years to come. Kinesiology taping on humans is now commonplace — it is widely used by physical therapists, chiropractors, and personal trainers. The idea behind taping is that it provides incredible support and stabilization of ligaments and tendons while simultaneously stretching and flexing like a “second skin” to allow full range of motion. It can also activate or relax muscles, depending on its application. Taping is now also being successfully applied to other animals. Canine and equine physiotherapist Katja Bredlau-Morich, author of Kinesiology Taping for Horses, is a pioneer in bringing the method to the dog world. She believes that dogs can benefit hugely from taping techniques, and even better, dog owners and trainers can learn practical steps to using kinesiology tape themselves. In her terrific guidebook, Bredlau-Morich provides the ultimate reference for understanding both the uses of kinesiology tape and its numerous canine applications. With hundreds of color photographs and step-by-step instructions for the do-it-yourselfer, her book explains the following forms of kinesiology taping: Muscle Scar Fascia In addition, numerous case studies demonstrate how taping can change a dog’s life, keeping him a happy, active, pain-free companion for years to come.

Love this
LOVE THIS. Very helpful that it includes cases with specific taping methods that were used. Not something anyone else in my clinic utilizes, but really has helped some of my cases to thrive.

Excellent book for KT taping canines.
Very clear concise instructions on how to use KT tape on your dog. This is the only book of its kind that I can find. It would be great if your dog is very active, competition, or for older dogs. Works for all sizes of dogs and ailments.

Very helpful
I got this to try to help my senior dog with joint pain. I had relief for myself using k-tape and was pleased to find a book with instructions for helping furry friends. I’m happy to say it’s easy to read, helpful picture illustrate how to place the tape. I was able to give my buddy some relief from shoulder pain and he was able to walk more comfortably.

Not super informative
I was excited to get this, thinking it would go over common tape placements like the equine version by the same author. I was sorely disappointed as the book merely discusses common taping practices. It entirely skips over any of the unique challenges dogs present and only lightly touches on common usages for tape in dogs.

I also do kinesiology taping for horses so this was a nice addition for my library and easy to read and comprehend, even if you are a beginner as everything is explained very well. Great photos too so it is easy to identify the areas and correct application of the tape.

Was desperate to get help for my dog with arthritis and whilst waiting for appointments to specialists was able to follow instructions for a hip sling. My dog went from limping to weight baring. Thank you so much for writing this book. Very very greatful to you! Excellent book for all dog parents. Iâm not going claim itâs something I could ever do beyond the absolute basics but having used it in my mum I wondered if I would help. So few resources available for animals. So thank you sooo much for creating this book.
