Iâve been using Flukerâs Tortoise Diet for a while now, and I can confidently say itâs one of the best tortoise foods on the market. I have a California desert tortoise who is over 30 years old, and he absolutely loves these pellets. Theyâre not just a treat for himâtheyâre a staple in his diet.Hereâs how I serve them: I start by filling up a cup with water and sprinkling some pellets into it. I let them soak for a few minutes so they get nice and soft. Once theyâre fully softened, I pour them over a bed of fresh lettuce. The pellets absorb the water and become mushy, making it super easy for my tortoise to bite and chew. They blend right in with his greens and he devours them happily!This method works great especially for older tortoises or any tortoise that might have trouble with harder foods. My Tortoises Love These Pellets
What a great value in tortoise food. Gone are my days of the expense stuff in the pet shops. My tortoises liked the Fluker’s Tortoise Diet 3.5 lbs so much they said go buy another 3.5 lbs. I didnât do the subscription because when winter comes, they hibernate for 6-7 months. In summary, great tortoise food value and I have a family of happy tortoises.

Much better than the small ones
I had to get these for my sulcatta because the small ones were out of stock, and these were cheaper, but after giving them to him I think theyâre going to be his new favorite, because he absolutely shoveled them up, and looked at me afterwards like he wanted more. Theyâre much better than the small ones too, because I donât have to give him as many, and if he dumps them in his substrate itâs easier to retrieve them than tiny pellets are. Plus they last longer too because theyâre bigger, and not as many are needed. One handful is enough. Highly recommend these for owners with larger tortoises

Not what they use to be !!
Im not sure what has changed but as of 8 months ago each bucket i ordered is just a bucket full of very thin nuggets that wont soften w water and the turtles wont eat it actually they cant eat it. Like rocks. This new bucket i got is half and half. Its not cheap and i will be asking for a refund for this one also. They use to be great and fat little nuggets that would soften up nice and soft for them to eat. What happened w you guys ?? Too much quantity and the quality suffered. Its too bad !!!

I supplement my greens with factory made torts food. I don’t feed my torts just this. I have to say there is one very famous fancy tortoise factory made food, none of my tortoises two species Russians neither Hermann’s they won’t even touch that famous brand. This type they munch away!

Tortoise loves it. This will last him a bit until I order more. Huge container. Great value as it is $14 local in pet stores for a 2 cup container. He is eating better. I sprinkle it on his greens daily and spray pellets with his vitamins and supplements.

Couldnât break my Sulcata away from anything but fresh food. This is the only thing he will supplement fresh with. Heâs been eating it now for about a year, heâs 5. Lasts him about a month as supplementary feeding
