Good stuff!
We love this stuff to our snakes! It works perfect for the substrate under the coco husk mulch.

Finer, Fluffier, and Softer Substrate
Finally, a coconut substrate that isn’t full of long fibers! The fibers are far shorter and finer than all of the other coconut substrates I’ve tried, making this the softest, fluffiest substrate I’ve ever found both, coconut based and not. It also holds moisture well and doesn’t get compressed or packed down the way other substrates do, making it perfect for my salamander enclosure. It’s also significantly cheaper than the substrate mix I normally buy, especially considering how much substrate you get once the brick is fully hydrated.I will warn you, though, that the process of rehydrating and fluffing this substrate is rather messy. It makes a LOT more than you expect! Fortunately, it’s also a breeze to clean up.Overall I’m very happy with this substrate and not only will I recommend it to my fellow amphibian enthusiasts, I will also be purchasing it again in the future.

Great for hermit crabs!
You get a lot for your money. I use this for my hermit crabs and itâs great. The only small issue is that I donât need the entire brick, so itâs very hard to break some off. I just soak it a little and take that part. Otherwise, great item.

Worth it!
Great product for building terrariums! Smell is a bit strong (expected), but itâs a lot of product for the money.

Sooo much substrate
This when hydrated provided a lot of quality substrate. With no smell. I mix with some charcoal and my isopods love living there. We also used it with some other amendments as potting soil for several plants with a lot of success. It is very light and fluffy.

Good for growth of your plants.
This seems to be nutritional for my plants and helped with my seedling growth. It breaks off in chunks which are loose so easy to put in the pots. In my opinion it’s a little more effective than potting soil.

Coconut Husk Brick used for reptiles
Great for forming the upper layer of the tank of your reptilian pet that is made from 100% Organic Coconut Fiber that reptiles, geckos, toads, and various other cold-blooded species are used to.
Lori Wiedrick –
Nice quality
Very happy with this product. I used for our hermit crabs.
Yannick Gagne –
Very satisfied. The grind size is finer than the other brand I tried, I think it’s perfect. I used boiling water to hydrate, it speeds up the process a bit. Just be patient and break up the more stubborn pieces by hand.
William Crockford-Happy –
Awesome quality reptile bedding and a little goes a long way. I bought thinking I would use the entire brick but when I fluffed it, half was all I need for my crested gecko enclosure. Great price and my gecko loves how it retains heat and humidity!
Matt B –
I just started soaking a brick of this coconut husk today, and it expanded nicely. I am using it as a peat substitute for planting, so I have rinsed it a few times to reduce any salts. However, there is an odour. It’s not a terrible odour, but more like eucalyptol or some volatile organic chemical. I’m still going to mix it up and hope for the best!
Cody Black –
Really good, makes lots of bedding. It does take a bit longer than 10 minutes to fully absorb the water though, maybe give yourself closer to 30. I had a few clumps to break up but not difficult. Great value.
Amazon Customer –
I was impressed with this easy to use substrate. I liked it’s clean scent and affordable price. My geckos seemed to like this substrate just as much as any other brand. A very nice product at a very niceprice, from a very nice seller.
