Excellent Lifespan and Quality
I waited some time before reviewing these heat lamp bulbs in order to give a fair assessment. I have been using them for about 2 months now and they are still going strong! I use them for my Chinese water dragon and my rhino iguana and haven’t had a single issue.These bulbs give the perfect amount of strong warmth, and bright ambiance for my reptiles. You can really feel the heat being emitted and can keep their entire large enclosures at the perfect temperature. I keep the bulbs on for 12 hours a day using a timer so they have had very regular use.With other lamp products, I have noticed flickering, early bulb death, literal exploding glass…etc but have found great success with these ones! I usually have to replace other bulbs within 6 weeks so I am impressed with the lifespan. They are very reasonably priced and I plan to purchase these bulbs from now on (at least, whenever the first set die on me!).

A must for keeping basking reptiles
When keeping certain types of reptiles that need heat, it’s important to have basking light bulbs like these. I’ve been keeping aquatic turtles for over 30 years. They have a few large ponds they go outside in during the summer, but during winter I bring them indoors where they stay in stock tanks and use basking bulbs like these to keep warm.Now, it’s important to note that some turtle species and hatchlings are more fragile than others and may need UVB along with UVA. These bulbs emit UVA rays but not UVB. However, my turtles are all adults and able to do fine during my zone 6b winter indoors with just UVA basking heat bulbs.These bulbs put out good heat, light and seem durable. Their longevity like most basking bulbs, remains questionable as to how long they will actually last as it varies from bulb to bulb. With a bulb life of 3000+ hours, we will see just how long these last with 6-8 hours of daily use. If these last all winter from late October to late April, I’ll be thrilled and save money versus other brands I’ve used where I’ve had to replace 2-3 times during winter.I think the price is a little high for a set of 2 of these, but if they last me all winter, it will be worth it.

Hot and bright for a big tank
Both bulbs tested and work fine. Very bright and incredibly hot. I ended up having to back down to a lower bulb for my size aquarium because my chameleon was getting a bit overheated (18x18x24″Ht).This would be excellent for heat source for enclosures of a bigger size than my current setup.Very reasonably priced for a 2 pack of this quality bulb set.

This is a nice reptile light. We got it for our turtle tank and he seems to enjoy it, It keeps his basking rock nice and warm. It is the perfect size for his tank as it fits right in the corner of a 55 gallon tank giving him a nice spot to bask most of the day.

Let’s see how long they last
Gotta keep the bearded dragon warm! I’m not sure what has happened to bulbs lately… they just don’t last. I’ve purchased expensive and cheap ones and I can’t tell the difference. So I got these to see how well they will hold up because they looked like a good value and being shipped to my door saves me a trip to the smelly pet store. Also saves time and fuel making these bulbs an even better value! Time will tell regarding longevity.

CAVACHEW 100w Reptile Heat Lamp Bulbs
I use these 100w bulbs in dome fixtures for my leopard geckos, and they perform just like every other heat bulb Iâve triedânothing fancy, but they do the job. After about two months, one bulb burned out, which is pretty much what I expect from off-brand bulbs at this price point.That said, the value is solid, and for the cost, I donât mind replacing them every so often. Iâll definitely keep buying them as backups or everyday use bulbs since they heat well and donât break the bank.
