Bell is solid with seeds, no space-robbing form inside
DESCRIPTION:This is a bird seed bell molded of various bird foods. It is formed around a plastic spine with a hanging hole at top.ââââââââHOW I USED IT:We hung this next to our platform feeder. We observed starlings, white-breasted nuthatches, downy woodpecker, mourning doves, and red-bellied woodpeckers feeding from it. The nuthatch was the most frequent visitor.ââââââââPLUS POINTS:This bell is solid with seeds/foods. We have tried other bells from the retail store, and they had a minimal amount of seeds/foods molded over a cardboard form, so they were not completely made of foods. This bell is solid foods, see the photo to see how the plastic spine looks. Everything else is seeds and foods.2. The hanging hole in the tab of the spine is durable. I used zip ties to attach this near our platform feeder.ââââââââMINUS POINTS:1. The bell is somewhat sensitive to rain which may cause the seeds to loosen. You may wish to remove or cover it during heavy rain to prolong its life.2. The user is left to figure out how to attach this. It would be nice if the package contained a zip tie which could be used.ââââââââOVERALL:While this product may be more expensive than an equivalent amount of loose seed, it has its place. It is a good choice if you have a location you do not visit daily, or does not lend itself to a more permanent feeder installation. For example, if you have a loved one in a care facility, this could be attached quickly outside their window and replaced perhaps weekly. This would be also be good at an apartment or someplace with Home Owner Association (HOA) restrictions.

Woodpecker magnet!!
The quality didnât seem great at first because it nearly fell off the base pretty quickly. I had to place the rest in a dish feeder. That said, the food in it does seem like good quality. The birds werenât very interested at first but itâs been a few days now and I just had a woodpecker at my bird station! Thatâs a first for me! The size is pretty good. Itâs fairly easy to use, but the hanger was too small for my hook so I used a zip tie to create a bigger hanger. Iâll probably buy this again because I love woodpeckers. My favorite blue jays love it too

Birds loved it!
The birds absolutely demolished this bird bell within just a few days of putting it out, you could definitely say they loved it! Even the squirrels couldnât resist and had their share of fun with it too. It arrived exactly as described and was so enjoyable to watch all the wildlife gather around. It was also super easy to hang, despite having a good amount of seed and structure, itâs not too heavy, so you can place it on almost any branch or hanging spot. Overall, a great treat for backyard birds (and a few sneaky squirrels)! Highly recommend!

Good mix of bird food, but small and not rain resistant
What I like:-This is a great mix of seeds, fruit, and mealworms that birds love-It comes with a handy handing ring to make it easy to hang on a tree limbWhat could be improved:-The packaging says to keep it out of the rain, which is not very convenient for an outdoor product. I wish it came with some sort of rain shield at the top.-It is quite expensive for its size, since you can get a fairly large bag of birdseed for the price

Still unsure
Itâs been up for two weeks and I havenât seen a single bird come to it. It looks nice and seems well-made, but unfortunately it just hasnât attracted any birds to my yard. Disappointing given the description. Maybe itâs the time of year??? I really donât know. Itâs October and the weather is changing but itâs still warm during the day.

Made with a wide assortment of healthy ingredients, loved by a big variety of birds.
This seed bell lets you offer more than just seed to the wild birds in your yard in an easy form that reduces waste. The bell measures 4 1/2 inches in diameter and 5 inches tall and packs a huge assortment of nutritious elements including proteins like mealworms, fruit, grains, nuts and seeds, all foods that birds love and benefit from.It looks great, good enough to eat! It is firmly formed, no loose stuff at all at the bottom of the packaging. It can easily be hung by the built-in plastic tab or set it down on a feeding platform. It is substantial in weight so won’t easily blow over. Because it is so well packed, it will last, giving you and the birds a lot of bang for the buck.

Made in the USA, quality food, but doesn’t last long
This bird seed bell is indeed packed with quality fruit, nuts, and mealworm, so much so that the birds flocked to it immediately. However, it didn’t last long, so the price point of 17 bucks is steep. Also, note that unless you place it into some kind of feeder or hang it right near a branch, the birds don’t really have anything to alight on while eating. Some birds won’t care…they just jump right on it and pig out, but other birds will be so heavy that they’ll knock it off the holder, and it will just break apart and be on the ground, making the birds sad but Mr. Pig-Face Squirrel quite happy.

Quality birdseed bell
The birdseed bell is well constructed with a variety of seeds, fruit and some mealworms too. I haven’t seen any birds eating from it so far, and I have a lot of birds in my yard. Maybe it just takes some time for them to notice something new. I think the birdseed bell is a little overpriced, you could get a lot more loose seed in comparison. But it’s nice for hanging up from a hook or branch if you don’t want to fuss with a bag of birdseed and a feeder.
