Didn’t fry my fish
So, we own a goldfish. His name is Charles. We won him at a fair about 8 years ago, and he refuses to die. Now Charles is a part of the family and gets treated like a king. Upgraded his tank and added all sorts of cool stuff for him to stare at. I bought a light for inside the tank that I thought he would enjoy. I should probably read more instructions, because somehow I missed the part where it said it WASNT SUBMERSIBLE. yeah, I did that. Put it in the tank and turned it on. To its credit, it did last a couple of days before conking out. And Charles did not get electrocuted, so thatâs a plus. This time, I read the instructions and found a nice, safe, and waterproof light. Itâs been in the tank for a couple of months now and itâs still going strong. I can change the color to whatever Charles likes, and it has a timer so he can get some nice fish dreams at night. So, to summarizeâ¦reading is good, Charles likes it, and he did not get fried. Buy it, youâll like it.

Perfect little aquarium light
Very easy to set up. Came with instructions.(which never really read! ð¤£ð ) And all functions worked perfectly. My kids also liked the lights being able to change colors,so yeah kids approve.ðð½ðð½ I haven’t put it in the water. (I’d prefer to keep it above water.) Also this little light gets REALLY BRIGHT but it’s easy to adjust it back to soft lighting. My overall review for this is a 5/5!

Died less than two months
Terrible. If you want the light to come on everyday at a certain time you better be awake at that time t turn it on a set the timer. Can’t set specific time. But I worked around that using a smart plug. But less than two months the light is completely dead. Now I have to buy a new light again do not purchase.

Submersible LED Aquarium Light…
What I liked about this light is that it was submersible, and the suction cups worked great too. I can’t really say much else nice about it, however.First off, the LED’s were too bright, even at their dimmest. I really like to see my fish under the lights, but when the light was at the back of the aquarium, the lights blinded me at their lowest setting even when I angled them downward, so I couldn’t really enjoy watching my fish.I tried moving the lights to the front of the aquarium, but then it was like the tank became dark all beneath the lighting. I could spin the lights downward at an angle, but the tank was still too dark beneath the lights.They really need to shine from above or from the sides of the aquarium, to be able to enjoy the fish, I think. I had purchased this for a 3 gallon aquarium, so the light stick was too long for the sides, but that might have improved the lighting. I didn’t try putting them along the bottom of the tank facing upwards either, and that might have improved the lighting immensely. I couldn’t say for certain.The other thing is, that I found out the covering on the light stick was plastic, not glass. I discovered this quite by accident, because I had put the light on my stove top, and somehow bumped the knob, turning the burner on, which melted the plastic housing. Had it been glass, it would not have melted.Glass would have been preferred, as it doesn’t scratch as easily as plastic. Since I switched to a 10 gallon tank, and just use the 3 gallon as a hospital tank now, I didn’t bother to replace the light.

Adjustable light intensity
I have one large freshwater fish 20 year survivor from a community tank. Does not like bright lights, so I keep this on a low setting. I have a 20 gallon, and fish can hide out on end with less light. It likes the blue lights.
