Great light holder
This is my 4th set of brackets that I’ve ordered to raise up my Gamalta lights, and the only brand that works with my brand of lights and for my different aquariums. The other 3 brands that I’ve tried from Amazon have the wrong dimensions. I have (2) 12″ cube frameless aquariums and (2) 20 gallon tanks with rims. This product works great on both, looks great, and honestly I don’t see why anyone would give less than 5 stars. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do. If you’re reading negative reviews, take with a grain of salt. Does it match my lights perfectly? No. But the brand of lights I bought doesn’t have a solution, so these brackets work perfectly and even look better than I expected. The only thing that could possibly be a negative is that the style of light that I have just sits on the acrylic platform. If I had kids in the house, I could see how the lights could potentially be bumped off, so I wish there a divet or a cut-out for the light to sit in, however on the other hand, that might make it so certain lights wouldn’t fit. I like the universal use of these brackets. And if I wanted, I could router out a divet myself, however, the lights seem to be stable without out. Love these, and I actually came on here to order 2 more sets.

Work perfectly, solid and sturdy. The people that say that they aren’t clear don’t realize you have to take off the mat sticker that comes with most acrylic items. Definitely would get again if needed. At this price i might just order an extra set just to have on hand.

Too small.
Great idea but itâs too small to fit over the side of my top fin 29 gallon tank. It would work for no rim tanks but not for any tank with a rim, unfortunately.

Well made and asetically pleasing. Note: This item barely fit a standard rimmed 20 gallon long.

Nice but had to modify…
I really like the simplicity of these for adding some height to my aquarium light.Unfortunately they were a little too tall to clamp onto my 50 gallon with a rim. Ended up having to remove some material to allow the screws to clamp to the rim.

Does what it’s supposed to, the only reason I didn’t give the full fivestars is because I feel like if it’s was a couple dollars cheaper it would really be worth every penny. I see a lot of people complaining about the plastic not being completely transparent, but I don’t even pay attention to it. Look at the aquarium.

Perfect for Rimless Tanks
I needed to raise my light for better light distribution. This was a great solution and works great for my rimless tank. Make sure to peel off the sticker cover!

These are much more substituents than I thought they’d be. I don’t have a heavy light set up but if you do this can handle it. I like that it has acrylic screws so it can accommodate various tank thickness. Overall excellent product.

Works great. Don’t forget to peel off the film before installing. And Don’t screw too tight, it will works fine.

The pictures show this item being used on a rimmed tanked. The product should have an offset to be able to be secured. Now I will have to modify this product to be able to use it with this tank.
