Fantastic and soothing shampoo for cats and dogs
As someone who used to work with a popular pet company, Virbac is definitely a trusted brand and for good reason. That being said, the many choices in pet shampoo can still be overwhelming so I really want to thank the reviewer who used it on her dog with hyperthyroidism. My sweet Oliver had been diagnosed with it several months ago and his coat has changed as a result. While heâs had dandruff here and there at times it had gotten noticeably bad. No amount of brushing was able to remove the blanket of dandruff on his skin alongside his lower back. This shampoo really made it a night and day difference after his one bath. I lathered it on and let it sit for 5 mins while massaging it in at the same time. I loved how itâs unscented and left his coat glossy. Highly recommended!

Good sudz… not sure if it is what helped but did NOT hurt pup’s skin!
Not sure if this truly helped our pooch in regards to itchy allergic skin…. BUT it caused no harm other than maybe stripping a bit too much of her natural oils somehow- had to def use conditioner if we used this shampoo and esp if we repeated as directed and left it on as long as we could before rinsing off fully….Had a great suds which I for some reason didn’t expect. Don’t think I truly detected much of a scent either way….SO not sure in the long run, if it did help her fur as we did use a separate unrelated very nice conditioner which could be what helped..not to mention us also giving her allergy supplement treats and Omega oil treats to help with her easily reddened sensitive itchy skin! Guess all that matters is that it IS better but won’t really know unless we don’t replace it once it’s gone ;-)Would def replace IF that is what happens but otherwise, I prefer a bit more scent to help her smell so yummy a bit longer as she pushes just how stinky she can get some weeks!! 😉 lol
