first and foremost, yes absolutely rinse these OUTSIDE as the clay dust can really eff up your pipes. THIS product came so clean, i rinsed about 3 times for good measure but these weren’t nearly as dusty as other brands i’ve gotten.product does exactly what it is supposed to do, and my frog tanks look fantastic. one bag successfully used for (3) 12×12 terrariums, with enough leftover for about one more tank. i will be purchasing again so i can redo my other tanks but definitely recommend this brand for value and cleanliness.

great substrate
I mix this with a few other substrates for my reptiles and i love it. It helps hold humidity in their enclosures and makes it so easy to keep plants and everything alive. My burrowing reptiles have no issues with it holding up and I haven’t seen any signs of mold or anything. Love this stuff.

my hands are FULL of splinters after just moving the soil around the terrarium, glad this will be my bottom layer because i wouldn’t trust an animal to live in this at all.
