Nice looking piece of wood for Aquariums
I absolutely love this. My fish took to it right away and love it. One of my Coryâs went through it first I was shocked they never go through the wood pieces I had in the past they stayed at the bottom. My female Bettas love and I love watching them play so glad I decided to get this. Just so you know I soaked this wood in n hot water through out the day for two day. The water at first turned real dark burgundy. It stayed medium Burgundy for half the night keep changing the water after sitting for a few hours The water turned to a faint looking burgundy and then a tannish yellow the next day. When the water was clear enough for me then I put it in the 30 gallon tank with live plants looks absolutely beautiful.

Works Great – lots of tannins.
This wood looks great in my 15 gal. Received 2 good sized pieces that have great shape. It turns darker once submerged and contains a lot of tannins. I boiled these 2 pieces multiple times, then soaked it for about 4 days, changing the water each day.Would be great for a dark water aquarium.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I needed a large piece of driftwood for my Axolotl aquarium with smooth edges and holes & this one looked perfect. I received it very well packaged  and it looked perfect.  The only drawback was I had to soak it for hours in salt & baking soda and boil it several times and soak it more. Instructions said this could take a week. I donât know if I missed reading this or not, but it is very time consuming. I would have preferred this being done before I received the drift wood. Iâm still soaking it bc the tannins are still a reddish brown and will color the aquarium water a dark color. The tannins are actually good for my Axolotls. I put almond leaves in my tank for my Axolotls but it just makes the water a light tea color. This driftwood would make it very dark. Size:LargeFunctionality:For Axolotls

Killed several fish
I boiled this many many times until I could leave it overnight with Little change in the watercolor. Put it in my tank it still discolored the water a little bit and started killing my fish. It is out now. I have to decide whether I boil more or throw it away.

Fun Shapes, well packaged
I ordered this and had it delivered not even 24hrs later (New England)! For the amount of money you pay, these 6-10 inch pieces were very well packaged and have pretty fun diversity in shapes. The package came with not one but two layers of protective wrap and taped generously. No broken pieces. Love the rich color of each piece. They all measure within the 6-10 inch range and appear with various thickness. They also come with a small tag from the company with directions on how to remove tannins. Overall pretty happy. Will work on boiling them soon!

The product was almost the exact same as the photo and was a beautifully shaped piece however, it began to grow mold after being in my tank for a week so Iâm not sure what went wrong considering I boiled it and keep my tank clean.
