Great product
Its a great product i just had to remove the little sponge part on the filter because my turtle started to chew on it he wouldnt swallow it just rip it up, keeps my 10 gallon turtle tank very clean i use to clean his tank every week but now i do it every 3 weeks also very quiet not loud at all, and cheap and easy to use ive had it for about 3 months now.

If you have smaller fish…so worth it. I used for small tank with fry.
I love these filters. It does move water very well.. I use them for when my fry start to swim.. I do place a plant in front of the stream out and use a very fine mesh over the intake. I just worry to much I guess. But I do place them before eggs hatch so the first bites don’t foul up the water. I have 5 of them. So obviously they do a great job cleaning the water.

Filter needs changing quickly.
The filter worked well but on the second day, the turtle had eaten part of the sponge filter which falls off very easily. After that, the filtration seems to have declined quickly and the inside filter looks pretty dirty after just a few days. I’d probably go for a filter without a loose sponge outside that the turtle can eat away. The suction is great just very noisy (water splashing).

Well worth the price for a cat water fountain and filter. But same for reptiles and such.
As mentioned before I am an Engineer as well as a long time Cat Rescuer. At one time we have had 18 cats living full time in our home with us. We have also lost several to kidney disease. Two factors contribute – Dry Food (ALWAYS FEED WET as primary) and not free drinking enough. We are writing a book on 34+ years rescuing cats and painful lessons learned. Good sources of clean water they willingly drink from is a MUST.I had tried many water fountains for cats with bad results ranging from falling apart, to hard to clean/re-assemble, to virtually no filtering. I had the idea to try to repurpose fish or reptile water fountains/filters. As a lower cost alternative to the awesome, but much more expensive commercial cat filter/stream we have also. Some of our cats prefers this one and others the expensive one.All I do is have a very large (11″ wide) stainless steel water bowl, a Mason Quart Jar, and velcro straps (looking for silicon rings instead) to hold the jar to the filter and stabilize both AND reduce the splatter from the waterfall. Works like a charm and low cost enough to have two…one clean and ready while the other is cleaned.Filters are easy to find, lasts long time, and low cost to maintain unit. So far we have been running two of these in two rooms for over a year (this third one is to have the cleaning rotation mentioned above)I highly recommend this one for both needs…aquatics and cats. Our cats gives a “Five Paws” review too.

Filter fine process less than fine
I ordered this filter for.prime day specials. After taking a week to get here It came damaged and incomplete . There were no sponges and the filter lid was cracked. So returned it and I tried to just have the item exchanged but I had to get a refund then reorder at a different price because it wasn’t under prime day anymore. I know it was only a few dollars but it is the principle. I feel like I was sent a crappy item just for prime day then couldn’t exchange it for the same price. Because the defunked item took a week to get here. Filter was not even wrapped in plastic it was just the box with a shipping label on it. The filter I am.sure works fine the new one is coming today which now that it’s not prime week can mange to get here overnight So the filter sounds great it is the scam of prime week I have a problem with.

Great little pump for hatchling turtle
Great little pump for my hatchling chicken turtle. The water is about 3 inches deep and the pump works great. Like the price too. : )

Decent product
Worked great for my turtle, kept the tank clean and water movement was smooth. Sponges were removable and washable.

Looked very positive and was working, then after an hour the motor stopped working. This was set up exactly as per the instructions. No blockages evident.

I bought this filter to make a fountain for my cats. I bought activated carbon to put in it and everything works perfectly for a very affordable price. Cats now drink like drunks. On the other hand, if I had to do it again, I would choose a compact filter that has no part that sticks out on the side. This takes up a lot of space in the bowl and you have to find a very large one that is twice the width of the filter so that the water jet can be in the middle. But it’s a bit out of the ordinary. Otherwise, this filter is silent, efficient and I am very satisfied.

I’ve bought several filters which all had the same issue. But I thought this one might work due to the reviews however after a couple hours it just stops, the motor completely shuts down and it won’t turn on again. Disappointed to say the least
